Answer:
1. During the stage of adolescence, self-understanding involves different
theories about the self, identity, and personality. Different theories about the
self are important. These theories will open opportunities for identifying
which characteristics of the self are relevant and the understanding of how
these characteristics are related to each other. As the different theories are
discussed, you as an adolescent will be able to construct your own
understanding of yourself well by integrating the information into your own
self. Understanding yourself will be higher when the different parts of the
self become integrative. As Carl Rogers's theory of the self proposed, self-
awareness is an important aspect of understanding the self. Self-awareness
pertains to how much you as an individual is aware of your own
psychological make-up, and what makes you unique as a person, as well as
your own strengths and weaknesses.
2. The Material-self ascribed to a person's physical characteristics and material
assets that contribute to one's self-image. The Social-self relates to a person's
identity and how he behaves in social situations. Last is the Spiritual-self
refers to the most intimate and important aspect of one's self, which
encompasses one's purpose, basic values, conscience, and moral behavior.
3. It can develop their behavior by knowing self concept like spiritual self, they
can apply it to themselves because it includes on their individual purpose,
core values and their moral behavior.
4. To develop self awareness and self understanding you need to know one of
the self concept which is social self, this social self is refer to who a person
is and how he/she acts in social situations. We need to be aware to those
people who act like that and be more open minded because some of them
may act differently in school, home or with their family but as a person or as
an individual we need to understand them.
