One Piece celebrates
its 1000th episode

One Piece, the

25 year old best-selling
manga made by Japanese
author, Eiichiro Oda, was
adapted into anime (japa-
nese animation) in Oc-
tober 1999. It is beloved
by fans all over the world.
It is about a 17 year old
pirate who wants to dis-
cover the late pirate king’s
treasure, the One Piece,
and claim it as his own.
On July 22,2022,
the manga will celebrate
its 25th anniversary. To
kick off the celebration
the series has renewed
its logo, it features the
silhouettes of the main
character and his mentor.
The special logo was re-
vealed on a live stream on
March 28 2022 together
with other big reveals for
the future of One Piece.
Such as the upcoming
RPG (Role Playing Game)
based on the series, and
an anime movie called
One Piece: Red.
The anime’s
1000th episode was aired
on November 21, 2021.
It paid tribute to the first
episode’s opening by reus-
ing the music and taking
inspiration from it. Now
that the 1000th episode
has been released, fans are
now excited for the next
milestone they’ll hit.

be a little dated but I
assure you that it grows
on you over time. The
simplicity of the artstyle is
actually what got me into
the anime. Even though
it’s a bit old, the visual
effects of the punches
are amazing. The sound

feeling of the punches.
Character develop-
ment is one of the greatest
aspects of this anime. They
provide backstories even for
the most menial of char-
acters. The main character
used to be a student getting
bullied, but since his broth-
er figure saved him and got
him into boxing, he has
become the champion of his
weight class.
Overall, I urge you
to watch this anime and
experience its story, visuals,
and sound effects.
