Scene No: 1
Stage Setup+ Direction:
3 benches are placed on the stage on the left side of the stage facing towards the
right side of the stage.
Character Acting:
The main character enters the stage calmly showing no reaction, but upon sitting
in the bench gives a faint sigh.
The other characters all enter the stage nervous and upon sitting in the bench they
act seriously.
The Examiner, keeps up a tough look and acts strict, his face should show no
room for concern and emotion. Acts like a serious robot.
Narration:
“The main character of our drama is Monica, and she is going to take the
phassseee---” says Narrator 1
Narrator 2 says “the phase 1 written exam of the dance competition.”
Narrator 2 to Narrator 1 “didn’t you read the script before coming, that was the
only job you had, just don’t embarrass me in front of the audience”
Narrator 1 says “ well any ways, our main character seems to be rather calm and
collected unlike the other students”
Scene No: 2
Stage Setup + Direction:
A table and chair are added to the right stage of the stadium facing the front-left
corner of the stage for the examiner to sit.
Character Acting:
The other character show tension at first, but after Dialogue No: 1 they become
more tense and start writing faster.
The main character at first seems as if she is daydreaming, then after Dialogue
No: 1 the main character as if she just woke up stretches her arms, yawns and then
starts writing the exam with sleepy eyes
Narration:
While the main character is daydreaming at first Narrator No:1 goes in front of
the main character and waves their hand in front of him, seeing as the main
character doesn’t notice him the Narrator No:1 “ I think Monica is sleeping, but
she has her eyes open so she’s daydreaming, yep that’s it”
Narrator No: 2 “ Well duh, that’s written in the script, you act like you just
figured out a national secret, well as per the script Monica although a good
student who is excellent at students, holds a biased opinion on extracurricular
activities”
Narrator No: 1 “Yeah poor Monica she only attended this dance exam because of
her parents forcing her to be more competent, I would say that she is more than
competent with her studies”
Narrator No:2 Frowns at Narrator No: 1 saying “ No one, literally no one asked
your opinion”
Scene No:3
Stage Setup + Direction:
After the characters get up and leave the benches are removed
Character Acting:
In the entire scene the main character acts like she doesn’t have a care in the
world, and looks half asleep
The other characters write exam tensely, and ask for 1 more minute throw hand
signals, after the exam the students feel relieved and become happy
Narration:
(Narrator 1 “ I’ll go check if Monica is daydreaming again or not” Narrator 1
stand in front of Monica and places his head right in front of Monica, noticing that
Monica doesn’t show any reaction, Narrator 1 is confused as to whether he maybe
a ghost, and asks Narrator 2 jokingly “ am I a ghost?” – {Vikram once upon a
time there lived a ghost lyric plays})- While main character
Narrator 2 “ Well yes, as to me you’re my demon”
Narrator 1 “ On a different note it looks like the exam is finished, and the students
are submitting their results”.
Narrator 2 “ Yeah, they finally have a time to relax after writing the exam for so
long, it seems like their discussing their answers, and the examiner is correcting
their exam—"
Dialogue No:2
Narrator 1 “Oh, it looks like the examiner finished correcting the exams that was
quick, now lets take a look at the results”
Scene No:4
Stage Setup + Direction:
The chair and table the examiner uses is removed from the stage
Trash bin is added to front part of stage
Character Acting:
Those who leave the stage do so with sadness and regret
Those who qualified for the results show a sense of achievement and happiness on
their faces
The main character at first frowns at the results, but then like saying “ Oh well”,
he crumples the results with a smirk and throws it in the trash bin
Narration:
Narrator 1 says “looks like more than half were disqualified for phase-2,
including Monica, she really is the main character right?”
Narrator 2 says “The main character can’t always keeping winning so I personally
like this”
Narrator 1 says “Oh, Monica is just crumpling and throwing her results into the
bin, this character of boldness is quite fitting of the main character”
Narrator 2 says “Well by her logic she’s an A-grade student in her studies so why
would she need to bother with miscellaneous activities.
Dialogue-3
Narrator 2 says “It looks like the Monica is going to leave the stage”
Narrator 1 says “I don’t know whether she leaves or not, but I go with that she
doesn’t leave the stage.”
Stage freezes
Narrator 1 to audience “So do you think Monica will leave the stage or not”
Narrator 2 to audience “Let’s see the answer in the next scene”
Scene No:5
Stage Setup + Direction:
Trash bin removed from stage and kept in a place with crumpled paper
Chairs for character added on stage at the back of the stage
Character Acting:
The main character and main character’s friend act as if they’re having a normal
conversation
Narration:
Dialogue Set No:4
Narrator 1 “So, I was right Monica doesn’t leave the stage, hah I finally beat you”
says while making victory arm
Narrator 2 “Well technically, I said “It looks like” I didn’t state directly that she
will leave the stage, well on another note, I can’t wait to see what the
Mahabharata play is going to be like”
Narrators leave the stage
Scene No:6
Stage Setup + Direction:
(One cradle is brought on stage first which looks shabby at left side of the stage) –
C1
(Another cradle is brought on stage later which looks more royal at right side of
the stage) – C2
(The cradles removed from stage)-C3
neglected from birth, and cast aside. (C2 brought on stage) A few years later the
same parents had another child called Arjuna, who highly loved by the parents,
and raised with royalty. (From start to end baby cries play, with some thunder
effects). C3. Time flashed by in the flick of a second and they were at the right
age to get their own teachers. (Arjuna and Karna enter the stage), Arjuna gets the
highly reputable king of combats Drona as his teacher. (Drona enters stage and
blesses Arjuna on stage, then both the characters leave), but due to Karna being
raised as a low cast peasant, no teacher accepted him ( Karna looks around the
stage but he sees no one wants to be his teacher), Karna being angry leaves the
stage and comes back in the attire of a upper caste person and fools Parashurama
who is a god to be his teacher, the innocent Parashurama believes this lie and
takes him as his student. (Karna and Parashurama leave the stage), After the
brothers get their teachers, they both go respectively with their teachers to get
training, Arjuna leaves the palace, and Karna leaves the slum. Both the brothers
excel at their training and learn all the arts, crafts, weaponry, and combats of the
teachers fully. (Karna and Parashurama, Arjuna and Drona get on stage, and act as
if they are learning swordsmanship from their teachers, at the end of practice they
are praised by their teachers) Both the teachers value their students highly and
think of these two brothers as their successors. Karna finishes his training from
Parashurama, but right before finishes his training Parashurama learns that Karna
is of a lower caste and that Karna lied to him, Parashurama never took the fact
that Karna was a lower caste as an insult, but the thought of his own student lying
to him and that he was oblivious to it was unbearable for Parashurama ( Karna
and Parashurama set and stage, and Parashurama curses Karna and slaps him on
the face, they both then leave the stage), and then he curses at Karna, that he will
forget all that was taught to him at the most critical point. Karna leaves sadly and
recruited by the Kauravas to their side to engage in the war for the throne. Arjuna
also completes his studies with his teacher Drona (Arjuna and Drona get on stage,
and Drona blesses Arjuna wishing him good luck, after Drona wishes Arjuna two
guards come on stage and escort Arjuna) and returns to the kingdom, there Arjuna
learns the situation of the kingdom more clearly, that is the 5 highly skilled
Pandavas Arjuna belongs to, and the 100 Kauravas who are just sub-par that
Karna was recruited into. As Arjuna and Karna being the most competent of the
two groups, they often clashed together in all sorts of field, such as studying, arts,
and weapon making. As they both clashed they both brought the best out of each
other, and while clashing years passed by in the blink of the eye, and both Arjuna
and Karna became the best warriors of the entire world. Then just before Arjuna
and Karna decided to have a final battle to decide it all, Arjuna learns of the fact
that Karna is his brother and refuses to fight his own brethren, ( Karna and Arjuna
come and stage Karna signals Arjuna to come and fight, but Arjuna tires to
convince Karna to not fight and explain that they are brothers, but before he
could, he is laughed at by the crowd of Kauravas, and loses in the first round of
the fist fighting competition, then Krishna comes on stage advices Arjuna and
blesses him, Arjuna wins the second competition after a tug of rope war, then in
third competition Karna forgets everything that he learned, and places his hand on
his head, then Arjuna strikes him down and wins) and becomes highly confused,
and doesn’t do well in the first round of the fight and loses to Karna badly, Then
Krishna ( a god), descends and advises Arjuna that this battle wont end their
relationship, but after the battle both of you would be able to live as brothers and

Getting inspired by this speech of Krishna Arjuna decides to end it once and for
all, and wins in the second round by a close margin against Karna, then in the
third round the most important point of Karna’s and Arjuna’s life, Karna’s loses
all the teaching of his teacher as per the teacher’s curse and Arjuna wins in the
Character Acting:
The main character acts confused, the other characters feels relived and inspired
from the drama and leave the stage.

Scene No:8
Stage Setup + Direction
Trash bin with paper is placed on stage,
Bench and chair for extracurricular teacher placed on stage
Character Acting:
The character is confused before seeing the crumpled results, but shows a sign of
being relieved and clearness after uncrumpling the paper, and turns in the second
attempt form with a smile
Narration:
None
Scene No: 9
Stage Setup + Direction:
The extracurricular teacher’s bench and chair are removed
Table/ benches added on the stage including table and bench for extracurricular
teacher
Character Acting:
The main character and other characters study seriously for the upcoming exam
Narration:
None

Stage Setup + Direction:
None
Character Acting:
The characters act tense while writing exam, and nervously after submitting
papers, and tense and nervous when receiving results
The characters act happily with satisfaction after getting good results
Narration:
None
Scene No: 11
Stage Script + Direction
The table and benches are removed
Character Acting:
The characters are excited and happy about participating in the dance first, but as
they keep dancing most of they get tired, but they and persevere and keep
dancing, showing their hard work
Narrator:
Narrators enter the stage
Narrator 1 “Did everyone miss me, sorry I had a meeting with Yama, so I
couldn’t refuse”
Narrator 2 “It looks like a lot of things happened while we were gone”
Narrator 1 “ So, Monica got inspired by the drama took the second attempt test,
passed got first first, and is now practicing dance lessons”
Narrator 2 “Yeah, and it looks like there are two dance groups one for classical
dance and the other for western dance, so they’re going to compete in to dance
competition huh”
Narrator 1 “Yup”
