Stative verbs
We usually do not use stative verbs in the
present continuous tense.
Like. Why do you like outdoor sports?
I like to be outdoors.
Hate. I hate indoor sports.
Think. I think indoor sports are boring.
Prefer. I prefer outdoor sports.
Know. She knows how to drive a car.
Want: She doesnt want to go hiking.
Need: He needs a lot of equipment.
Cost: The equipment costs a lot of money.
We usually do not use stative verbs in the present
continuous tense.
