Module 8:

Importance in Examining Socio-cultural,
Economic, and Political Conditions
Introduction:
The different ideas and disciplines in social sciences help us in the various aspects of our lives. So far, we
have learned several social science ideas. Psychoanalysis studies our childhood growth and development. The
Rational Choice Theory is about becoming rational through choosing our preferences. The creation of an institution is
formed by the study of institutionalism. Narrowing and focusing on the things that an individual can do, especially
women, is on Feminism Theory. Acceptance of the different phenomena which an individual or group experiences are
interpreted through the study of Hermeneutical Phenomenology. Lastly, the interaction between human beings with
their nature is explained through the study of the Human-Environment System.
In this module, you will learn the application of these ideas, which enables us to determine our role and
examine the socio-cultural, economic, and political conditions of our country.
