Assignment #1:

I. OLD TESTAMENT

a. Pentateuch
- Pentateuch reflects the traditional Jewish grouping of these books, Hebrew Bible (Genisis, Exodus,
Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy). Pentateuch means “Five Books” in Greek, also
Pentateuch can know as Torah in Jewish tradition.
b. Historical
- Historical book is a book or a dictionary of the Bible. The books that are included in the historical
book are: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Tobit, Judith,
Esther, and Maccabees.
c. Poetry/Wisdom
- The books that written in the poetic and wisdom books of the bible are: Job, Psalms, Proverbs,
Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Wisdom, and Sirach. These books tell the stories of the human
struggles and experiences from the time of Abraham until the end of the Old Testament.
d. Prophetic
- Prophetic is also called as The Twelve Prophets or The Minor Prophets it contains books of minor
prophets such as: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah,
Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. Also, it has four major books of prophets (Isaiah, Jerimiah,
Ezekiel, and Daniel).

II. NEW TESTAMENT

a. The Gospels
- In has four Gospels in the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. In these books where
we can see or read the stories about Jesus’ life, ministry, and death.
b. Historical Book
- Historical Book in the New Testament contains five books (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and
Acts) it begins in the birth of Jesus Christ.
c. Pauline Epistles
- It has seven of the Pauline Epistles such as: Galatians, Romans, 1 Corinthians, Philemon,
Philippians, 1 Thessalonians. Pauline Epistles is written by Paul who spread the teachings of Jesus
in the First century.
d. General Epistles
- General Epistles also known as “The book of James” it is the first out of seven letters. This book
written in more general audience.
e. Prophecy
- The book of Prophecy called “The Book of Revelation”. It is the only apocalyptic book and the
final book of the New Testament.

Assignment #3:

“10 SAINTS”

1. St. Christopher
- I choose Saint Christopher as my favorite because he is the patron saint of travelers and motorist.
Saint Christopher is the one who hang in the small image in the vehicle for luck or safety.

2. St. Joseph
- Saint Joseph is one of my favorite saints because a side of he is the father of Jesus, he also faithful in
serving in the holy family also, St. Joseph teach Jesus in his humanity how to be a man.

3. St. Jude
- Saint Jude is a symbol of choose “faith when all seems lost”. He also standing firm in religious and
facing the challenging world.

4. St. Paul
- St. Paul is a Christian apostle who spread the teaching of Jesus in the first century world. Also St.
Paul is my current school to study.

5. St. Michael
- Saint Michael the Archangel is the warrior of good versus evil also, he is the chief opponent of
Satan. St. Michael the Archangel is our church name.

6. St. Augustine
- Saint Augustine is a theologian and philosopher of Berber origin. He is a Christian thinker after St.
Paul.

7. St. Mary
- Saint Mary is the mother of Jesus. St. Mary is patron of all human beings. St. Mary shows the
motherly care to Jesus Christ.

8. St. Nicholas
- Saint Nicholas known for his generosity and kindness that give happiness to the unhappy person. He
is the patron of children and student.

9. St. Anthony
- Saint Anthony of Padua is a patron of recovering lost items. I usually use the St. Anthony of Padua
every time I can’t find my things.

10. St. Agnes


- St. Agnes of Rome is a virgin martyr. She is the patron of engaged peoples, victims of sexual abuse,
and gardeners. St. Agnes shows her devotion to her faith is an example to all of us as we face the
adversity.
