It gives the body its shape, allows movement, makes blood cells, provides protection for organs and stores minerals.
3. What happens inside bones?
Marrow is a soft tissue that fills the insides of bones. Bone marrow comes in two colors: red and yellow. All new red blood cells, white blood
cells, and platelets are produced in the red bone marrow. Platelets are microscopic cell fragments that assist halt bleeding after an injury.
