1. Ensure the Painting Sample Panel approved by the consultant prior to proceed
the work at Site.

2. Ensure that the approved materials used as per specification.

3. Check that the Painting system is as per specification/drawing

4. Ensure Materials and the colour chart for the different areas/ items are approved
by the Consultant/Client.
5. Check that th e surface is ready for painting which includes all the cement works
are completed in that area, Ensure the cracks and all other imperfections
rectified.
6. Check that the surface preparations are done as per the Manufacture's instruction
and specification. Ensure acceptable moisture content of the substrate.
7. Verify the concrete/ rendered/plastered/gypsum/metal/wood surface is completely
in dry condition prior to the application of painting works.

8. Ensure the surrounding area protected from the spray/spillage of paint

9. Ensure MEP items like switches, socket etc. to be protected satisfactory level (if
any)
10. Check that the Method of application is correct as per the specification/Method
statement.
11. Check the mixing of paint as per the manufacture's instruction

12. Ensure that the primer, Stucco and the number of coats of paint applied are
correct with the specified interval of time
13. Check that the Wet/Dry Film Thickness is as specified.

14. Ensure the application of Intermediate coat of paint applied is correct with the
specified interval of time.
15. Check that the Wet/Dry Film Thickness is as specified.

16. Ensure the application of Top coat of paint applied is correct with the specified
interval of time.

Note 1: Application of painting is carried out only when the ambient temperatures are between
10 and 35 degree C.

Note 2: Application of painting should not be carried out when the relative humidity exceeds 85%
and temperatures less than 3 degree C above dew point; or damp or wet surfaces.
