SUMMARY
Learners will design and create a logo for a company such as a tourism company, a sportswear company …etc. Then
learners will create a business card for the employees of this company. To get ideas learners can search the internet for
examples and then they will draw sketches of their designs first. Then they will create the style sheet for their designs
stating the used colours, gradients, patterns, fonts and more. During the project, they may ask art teachers for
feedback. Finally, learners create their designs using a vector graphics software.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1 Identify and make appropriate use of objects
2 Search for images to use for a purpose, using the internet, picture libraries, scanning, and creating.
3 Explain how images are represented as vectors or a series of pixels, including bitmap graphics
4 Explain image editing vocabulary, including tool, toolbox, canvas, palette, pixel, stroke, fill, opacity, crop, zoom
in, zoom out
5 Design and create a logo, business card, flyer
6 Store, back up and import files
7 Organise files into useful groups (folders) so that they can be retrieved efficiently
8 Search for a specific type and form of information
9 Use style sheets to apply consistent formatting over a range of types of output
10 Use a combination of spell checking, grammar checking and proof reading to ensure that output is fit for purpose
11 Model more than one solution for a given problem
