R asks an adult to play with her or share in an activity. She makes a comment directly to another child. R transitions

During work time in the house area, R gave baby clothes to Ms Malik and asked “can you
dress up my babyâ€
OBSERVATIONS:
While playing outside on the playground with a classmate, R said to J "Mommy I want to
go to the park" and ran away to the play structure.
OBSERVATIONS:
R took out her green folder from her backpack, hung up her backpack, singed herself in at
her small group table, and washed her hands for breakfast.
OBSERVATIONS:
R came to Mrs. Walker during outside time and said a classmate "would not stop following
her." She then asked Mrs. Walker if she could, "tell him to stop."

R uses the pronouns he, she, him, her, his, and hers correctly. She predicts what will happen next in an unfamiliar story or
book and gives a reason based on what happened earlier in the book or on her own experience. R spontaneously says
real or made-up rhyming words. She identifies 10 or more letters. R identifies what a common symbol represents. She
uses a phrase or sentence to talk about a person, animal, object, or event pictured in a book. R writes discrete letterlike
forms.
OBSERVATIONS:
R told Mrs. Walker that her brother "put crayons in my backpack. He thought I did not have
any at school." Mrs. Walker said, "He did not think you had crayons at school?" R replied,
"Yes and he knew I like to color."
OBSERVATIONS:
While reading through a book with Mrs. Walker, R said, "The crocodile is vacuuming, now he
is cleaning a window, I think that he is cleaning because his friend is coming over."

While getting ready to sit down for a small group activity, R sang "Find a feet, take a seat.
Hey, that rhymes!" she said.

While completing baseline assessments, R correctly identified all uppercase letters and 17
lowercase letters.

During planning time R pointed to the house area symbol and said, "I am going to work in the
house area and make food."

After finishing reading a book with Mrs. Walker, R said "The crocodile gave mouse cheese.

COMMENTS:
R identifies four or more single-digit numerals. She recognizes and names two-dimensional shapes (circle, triangle,
square, rectangle). R directly compares or orders things based on measurable attributes using the word same and words
with er and est endings. She creates a unique (not copied) simple pattern with at least three repeats. R represents
information (data) in concrete ways.
OBSERVATIONS:
R looked at the numbers 2, 7, 5, 4, and 9 that Mrs. Walker wrote and put the corresponding
number of manipulatives on a block. She said, "That is 5, 1-2-3-4-5" and placed 5 manipulatives
on the block.
OBSERVATIONS:
While making a pizza with shape toppings, R said she was adding a "triangle for cheese, and
a "circle for pepperoni."
OBSERVATIONS:
R told Mrs. Walker at lunch time, she is moving to a "big, beautiful house soon." Mrs. Walker
repeated that she was moving to a "big beautiful house soon?" R replied, "Yes! It is bigger
than my house now."

While making families with bear manipulatives, R made a pattern, alternating red and orange
bears 6 times.

During small group after tasting a red, green, and yellow apple, R used her letter link to place
it next to the red apple picture to indicate she liked the red apple the best.

than my house now."
