List down the structures of the eyes according to the Outer, Middle and Inner Layers of the Eyeball,

use the pattern below or show it using the

table below: Thank you :)

LAYERS EYE STRUCTURE FUNCTION

Outer Fibrous Protective Layer Sclera It covers almost the entire
surface of the eyeball and
allows attachment of the eye
muscles that is needed for eye
movement.

Cornea It is responsible for the

refracting as well as focusing
the light rays on the retina.

 Conjunctiva It provides protection and

lubrication to the eye through
the help of the lacrimal glands.
It prevents microbial entrance
into the eye.

Middle vascular layer  Choroid It is responsible for the oxygen

and nutrition supply of the eyes.
It also maintains temperature
and volume of the eye.

Ciliary Body It anchors the lens and is

responsible for the
accommodation of the eye as it
Iris It controls passage of light into
the eye. It regulates the size and
diameter of the pupil.
Inner neural layer  Retina: It is a layer of nervous tissue
with multiple sensory cells that
are sensitive to light.

a. Rods It provides the perception of

black-and-white vision, mostly
in dim light.

b. Cones It helps to see colors in daylight.

Inner part of the eyeball Lens Lens bend the light rays passing
the eyeball to the back of the
eye or retina.

The vitreous body It maintains the retina in place

by pushing it towards the
choroid.
Anterior and posterior eye
chamber It is filled with aqueous fluid to
nourish cornea and lens.
