List down the structures of the eyes according to the Outer , Middle and Inner

Layers of the Eyeball, use the pattern below or show it using the table below

LAYER EYE STRUCTURES FUNCTION

Outer Sclera The sclera functions as the
supporting wall of the eyeball.
It helps maintain your
eyeball's shape, and protects it
from injury
Cornea The cornea acts as the eye's
outermost lens. It functions
like a window that controls
and focuses the entry of light
into the eye.
Middle Choroid The choroid supplies the outer
retina with nutrients, and
maintains the temperature
and volume of the eye.
Ciliary body The ciliary body is found
behind the iris and includes
the ring-shaped muscle that
changes the shape of the lens
when the eye focuses. It also
makes the clear fluid that fills
the space between the cornea
and the iris
Iris The colored part of the eye
which helps regulate the
amount of light entering the
eye. When there is bright light,
the iris closes the pupil to let
in less light. And when there is
low light, the iris opens up the
pupil to let in more light.
Focuses light rays onto the
retina.
Inner Retina The retina is a layer of
photoreceptors cells and glial
cells within the eye that
captures incoming photons
and transmits them along
neuronal pathways as both
electrical and chemical signals
for the brain to perceive a
visual picture.
Photo receptors

1. The most basic and crucial

1. Rods function of photoreceptors is
to perceive light, which is the
function of rods.

2. Cones 2. They respond differently to

light of different wavelengths,
and are thus responsible for
color vision, and function best
in relatively bright light, as
opposed to rod cells, which
work better in dim light.
