I am going on a hot-air balloon ride with my sister. She has been on cloud nine since she found out
we were going on a hot-air balloon ride.

Our parents have been up early to help us for the ride. Mother has woken up early to prepare some
hot beverages and snacks for us. Father has taken some warm clothes for us to keep warm. We get into the
car to go to the launching site.

To my surprise, many people have gathered at the site. The crew has begun to set up the balloons.
I am glad that I have worn my boots as the grass is quite long at the field. Oh, no! I just realised that I

My parents have reminded us to use the bathroom before leaving as there are no bathrooms
in the balloon. Half an hour later, my sister and I were told to get into the basket. We have been given a
bag of snacks for the ride.

The balloon sails across some hills with beautiful greenery. The sun has risen and the dewdrops on
the greenery are glistening like diamonds. It is beautiful. Just then, we hear the roaring thunder and see
flashes of thunder. I feel rain drops on my arms. It has begun to rain!

The pilot makes an emergency landing. I am disappointed with the rain. The pilot lands the
balloon safely on the ground. It has been a short but interesting journey.
