Project Background Growing up around construction, the owner’s father is a Civil Engineer and was

drawn to the construction industry. Each construction project is unique and


building methods are constantly changing and improving, which makes this
career exciting.

the best reputation for expertise, reliability, and quality in the construction
industry by maximizing our combined strengths through solid teamwork.

our customers, employees, subcontractor, suppliers, and the communities in
which we do business and serving at large.

Goal Provide the best quality that fits your needs

Project Scope To construct a massage spa, to meet the requirements of the Project Plan, and
have it ready for opening in November 2018 (in 6 months time), at a cost of
less than 2M

Project Scope Exclusion  The massage spa will be built to the specifications and design of the
blueprints.
 Site work limited to Monday through Saturday, 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Functions
Project Sponsor Sits at the top of the project organizational chart.  In effect, everyone within
the project reports to them, even if through the project manager.
Project Manager Responsible for the day to day project work, keeping the project on schedule
and budget.  They report to the Project Sponsor.
Project Team The people who perform the technical project work and produce
the deliverables.  They report to the project manager

Key Deliverables  The Contractor shall prepare the following procedures,
report templates and plans for the Owner’s review and
approval, these procedures and reports form part of the
Contract.
 Any revisions to the procedure and reports shall be reviewed
and agreed upon by both parties, prior to implementing any
changes.
 Contractor reporting to Owner is intended to provide the
Owner with information on the Work status to discuss,
schedule status, cost/schedule variances with explanation
and current issues.

Constraints, Assumptions, Risks and Issues


Constraints  The business won’t operate without the approval of the project sponsor.
 The project must complete 25% of the work within the first 30 days.
 The project has to work with the given resources.
 The project will be given only two site engineers.

Assumptions  The project will get all resources required.


 During the rainy season, cheap labour will be available.
 All important stakeholders will come to the next meeting.

Risks and Issues  Have contracts reviewed by a knowledgeable Attorney to ensure that all
contracts are consistent and current.
 Monitor site operations and modify risk assessment where necessary.
 Work environment prone to hazards

Success Criteria  The design consultants agree that the project has been completed to meet
their plans and specifications.
 Project is completed within the budget.
 Project is completed on schedule. Completion date is November 2018.
