" Teaching Profession: Then and Now"

Teaching is a way of life that requires lots of sacrifices. One of the most noble profession known to
mankind is teaching. Teachers nowadays and in the past have changed a lot in terms of their roles and
characters. Nowadays, most of the teachers have more responsibilities compared to the teachers in the
past. Teachers today are not only responsible for teaching students ,doing paper work, planning lessons
but they also have to deal with the work even at home and during weekends. Teachers in the past were
more strict and serious compared to the teachers nowadays. For instance, students in the past were
well mannered and they behaved as kids should. Thus, the way the teachers treat their students are
difference between teachers today and in the past.

Moreover, change is the only thing that is permanent in this world because change is constant. In
addition, changes have greatly affect in both opportunities and the challenges of teaching, as well as the
attitudes, knowledge, and skills needed to prepare for a teaching career. The new trends in education
are the aspects that really changed what teachers do. The increased professionalism for teachers in
fact, it improves teaching, but by creating higher standards of practice it also creates worries about
whether particular teachers and schools are good enough. Now, technology have greatly increased the
amount in information for students but also brings some challenges, or even create problems between
