Why a Project

A student specially a science student expected to do some

experimentation and research on subject other than those taught in the

textbook during the cross of the class studies such on effort when

well organized with definite aim or purpose is called a project.

The object of project is to envoke scientific and induce the

student following at hand so as to reach a definite conclusion.

 It is of course wrong to consider a project as unsuccessful one

even if it does not result in any useful outcome. What matter is the

scientific approach and logical analysis on part of student to tackle a

problem.

Working: Transistor as a switch:

Unlike thermoionic values which are voltage device transistor is

a current operated device. A transistor can be made to work like a

switch by controlling the base current by varying Base Emitter bias.

In this, the current supplied by the battery is reached to the

variable resistance. On changing the resistance, the potential will

generate in the wire, and electron from the p-part of the transistor is

released causing the glowing of bulb at the generated potential.

Applications of transistor as a switch:

Transistor as a switch is used for:-

1. Automatic Car Parking light.

2. Rain Alarm

3. Sound operated Switch

4. Time operated Switch

 5. Fire Alarm.
