 How We Can Carry On an Action Research

Action research is a form of investigation designed for use by teachers to attempt,

solve problems and improve professional practices in their own classrooms. It involves a

systematic process. First, we have to identify a problem to be studied. It refers to the

sense of awareness of a prevalent social problem, a social phenomenon or a

concept that is worth study, in this case the researcher identifies such a research

problem through his observation, knowledge, wisdom and skills. Secondly, we have

to Collect data on the problem. It's a crucial part of action research projects.

Because data collection provides the information that's needed to answer questions,

analyze the performance or other outcomes, and predict future trends, actions and

scenarios, we can use various techniques and data collection instruments such as

surveys, interviews, observation sheets, etc.

Then we have to organize, analyze, and interpret the data. In this step, the

researcher examine each component of the data in order to draw conclusions, and

also we have to explain what these findings mean in the given context. In order to

make an effective plan, that is the next step, to develop a plan to address the

problem it refers to find a solution or overcome a challenge through the strategies

that includes multiple details of the steps that the team must take to achieve a

shared goal or objective. This plan includes information on the strategy, processes

and actions to follow, and covers all parts of the project to provide you helpful

guidelines on how to resolve the problem that is proposed.

The next step, implement the plan. An implementation plan, In this step we

have to implement the plan that we designed in the previous step, we must take into

consideration that we must monitor the project constantly while we are in the
application phase to obtain better results. And finally we have the last step, evaluate

the results of the actions taken.it's important to be in mind that evaluate is closely

linked to the idea of value: moral values that guide us in our daily lives, as well as

measurable and quantifiable values we use to evaluate actions, evaluate concepts or

formulate an opinion on processes. In this step, it's so important to be honest in the

evaluation of the results because according to Ratings criteria that we propose in the

evaluation we can make a decision-making in order to repeat the process if it is

necessary or not. In conclusion, to develop an action research we must follow

several steps which allow us to carry out our Project in a systematized and orderly

way, in this way we can guarantee that our project will have a logical order, and also

it could be less difficult to understand and read to the audience.
