Schedule Guidelines

• Block classes: one period synchronous and one period independent learning
o The order of synchronous and independent learning is determined by teacher
o This does not preclude students or teachers from using technology
o This is to limit the most tiring aspect of online teaching and learning...face-to-face time
o Teachers choose which half of the block will be on Google Meet, and inform students ahead of time.
• Single-Period Classes:
o Synchronous classes held every other week
o The teacher plans material and assignments for the week with no classes; the teacher sets requirements and
deadlines.
o Students and teacher make their own individual plan for how to do the work and submit materials/assignments
during that week

Schedule Exceptions

• 12th Grade Mathematics:

o Two synchronous classes on Google Meet per week, and one class that meets every other week.
• Sports Classes:
o One single class and half of the block class per week on Google Meet.

Student Attendance (Class & Consultation)

• Students must inform the Dean’s Office if they are sick or have a technical problem
• Teachers will set up appointment slots or an open meeting for students on their Google Calendars for office hours as well as the
scheduled Consultation Times
