Câu gián tiếp dạng câu hỏi

Với câu hỏi, ta có thể sử dụng các động từ sau: asked, wondered, wanted to know
*** Câu hỏi dạng Yes/ No : Câu hỏi đoán
Khi đổi từ câu trực tiếp sang câu gián tiếp với câu tường thuật dạng yes/ no, ta cần:
- Bỏ trợ động từ do,does, did
-Thêm if hoặc whether
-Đổi lại vị trí của chủ ngữ và động từ trong câu( chủ ngữ + động từ )
Ta có cấu trúc chung như sau:
Direct: S + V + (O) : “Do/ does/ did + S + V1 + O….?”
Indirect: S + asked / wondered/ wanted to know + O + if / whether + S + V(qk) + O
….
Ví dụ:
“Are you hungry?” My mom asked.
⇒ My mom asked if I was hungry
“Did you finish your homework?” He asked.
⇒ He asked me if / whether I had finished my homework.
*** Câu hỏi có từ để hỏi WH-qs
- Bỏ trợ động từ do,does, did
- Bỏ if hoặc whether
Ta có cấu trúc chung cho câu gián tiếp với có từ để hỏi:
a. Wh – question
Direct: S + V + (O): “Wh- + do/does/did + S + V1 + O ?”
Indirect: S + asked /wondered/ wanted to know + O + Wh- + S + V(qk) + O.
Ví dụ:
 "What do you want for lunch today?" Mary asked me
- Mary asked me what I wanted for lunch thatday

“How is the weather?” Lan asked

⇒ Lan asked how the weather was.
“What are you doing?” My mom asked
⇒ My mom asked what I was doing.
Luu ý : khi chuyển sáng gián tiếp dạng câu hỏi chỉ bỏ trợ động từ , còn động
từ khuyết thiếu, tobe không được bỏ mà chuyển ra đứng sau chủ ngữ
