STEP 1: Build 2 Frames
Build two identical assemblies using wood glue and 2 1/2" screws. Pre drill to
prevent splitting.
Note: My bike tire is 29 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/2" thick. Measure your
tires diameter and thickness before building.
2-3/4"

25-1/2"

Attach the 2 frames

together as shown using
glue and screws. Make
sure to pre-drill to avoid
splitting.

STEP 2: Attach Gussets
Cut then attach two gussets. Use wood glue and 2" screws. These go into an
angled cut so don't skip the predrill. Be sure these are placed where it won't
hit your brake assembly.

If you want a fixed rack, you can

now locate studs and mount the
holder. If you want it to swivel,

STEP 3: Swivel
Cut two blocks from 2x4 material. Bevel both edges at a 45 then
counterbore a hole in the center on the bottom. Make this hole fit
the hardware you're using. Then attach the blocks to the back by
predrilling then using 2-1/2" screws once again.

and hardware

Now all that's left is to

predrill into a stud on
your wall and attach your
hardware.
