I. OBJECTIVES and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are using
Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy
in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards: The learner demonstrates communicative competence through his/ her understanding of Philippine Literature and other texts types for a deeper
appreciation of Philippine Culture through the different genre of viewing.
B. Performance Standards: The learners identify the genre, purpose and significance of a material viewed.
C. Learning Identify the genre, purpose, intended audience and features of various viewed texts such as movie clip, trailer, newsflash, internet-based program,

their sharing.
Show different types of materials
and let the students identify their
genre.
Ask the learners if it is important to
identify the genre of materials they
view. Ask why?
As viewers, we need not
only to be aware of the materials
we viewed on screen but also, we
have to be discreet and careful
whether or not these materials
provide relevant and reliable
information to us. Not all of the
programs on media platforms
are suited to students like us.
So, we must be a responsible
viewers and digitally responsible
users too.
