Methodology, Result, and Discussion

This chapter presents, methodology, result and discussion on the development of


the CWBS: A Cargo Wise Booking System with SMS Notification For YHK Logistics
Company. Likewise, it discusses the stages undertaken in the development of the study
included in software development, project prototyping, and to address the needs of an
organization. The storyboard serves as the foundation for the agreement between the
customer/client and the developers/programmers on the software product and system
features. The standard-compliant system description. The system's testing and results are
based on the requirements and preliminary design. The implementation strategy, system
deployment, installation, primary tasks required, and overall resources such as hardware,
software, facilities, materials, and staff are all part of the implementation plan. Finally,
the outcome of the implementation phase.

Requirement Analysis

A Cargo Wise Booking System with SMS Notification for YHK Logistics
Company requires the system for having a quick and improved customer transaction to
enhance the sluggish and manual transaction utilizing a website that a YHK Logistics
client will access 24/7 to book a cargo. The client desires a system that would provide
easy access to customer information such as personal information, booking details, and
transaction and payment history in order to monitor and secure the company's data. The
proponents design a system that will accommodate the client's ideas and suggestions. The
client and customer can register and login to the website to utilize the system and proceed
to the booking transaction, and the customer will wait for the website administrator to
accept the quote and pay the remainder online or cash on delivery. The client wants the
customer to be able to complete a transaction for their firm without interruption or delay.

The People Involved


These are the persons who were accommodated by interview, survey, testing,
implementation, and deployment proponents:

 Mrs. Bernadette Marso the IMPEX Manager of YHK Logistics – The person in
charge of obtaining an interview to provide information about the company and to
answer questions from proponents.

 The IMPEX Forwarding Department - These individuals provide specific


suggestions to enhance the system.

 The respondents of survey questionnaire - Respondents also complete a survey


questionnaire produced by the system's supporters to determine whether the system
will be accepted inside the firm.
The Business Activity

The address of the YHK Logistics Company is 63A Howmart Rd, Baesa,
Quezon City, and 1106 Metro Manila, Philippines. Cargo has been popular in the
Company since 1997. Logistics management takes happen in several locations
with freight experience. Unfortunately, they are still using an old or manual
transaction to get a transaction to their customer after many decades. The process
of the company to get a transaction services and to find the details of the customer
is still a long and slow process, which is why the proponents built the website to
try the company and to have an idea. If the new and innovative system transaction
was seamless and quick for both the client transaction and the staff workload.

The Environment in which the work takes

The proponents are working on a system that will let the IMPEX
Forwarding department of YHK Logistics Company to monitor client booking
requests and transaction information in order to update their cargo. The admin in
charge of transactions and organizing the pending and ongoing transactions that
the system will implement to the IMPEX Forwarding department office to
manage the corporate transactions the website will required to use an internet to
use the system.

The timing

According to Mrs. Bernadette Marso, the YHK Company will implement


a system that will take every 24/7 daily transaction, especially on weekdays and
holidays. Beginning in September or the bermonths, the customer will be more
likely to get a transaction to send their cargo and request a quotes.
The Current Procedure Performed

The YHK Logistics Company communicates with their customers via


email, Viber, phone number, or walk-in transaction to obtain personal information
and cargo booking details. When a customer wants to book a cargo, they will give
their name, address, and booking details, and the YHK admin will evaluate the
information to see if it is approved or not. The client who authorized the booking
request will proceed to the payment transaction, and the customer who rejected it
will be able to complete and correct the information required to send to the
Company. The shipping cargo is simply manually updated by the admin till the
item is received.

Respondent Interview

The proponents employed a survey questionnaire document analysis such


as respondent interviews, and a survey questionnaire. The researcher planned
many interviews to ascertain the respondents' present position about their manual
procedure of preserving personnel records.

There were a total of ten (10) survey questions for the manual and
development process that were connected with the three objectives. 3 questions
for each target and 1 general question on the title
