Instructions: Answer the following;

1. CSR is not only concerned with negative duties but with positive duties. What do you

think does this statement mean?

 Businesses must assess the positive and negative impacts of their social responsibility

efforts on the environment. Companies that practice corporate social responsibility work

to better their communities, economies, and environment. Companies that disregard CSR

do so at their peril. Businesses with active CSR programs assess their operations for

cultural and social issues in order to benefit both sides. CSR models offer the potential to

benefit people with limited or no resources while also increasing company revenue. Both

negative and positive tasks are addressed. Being environmentally responsible and

sustainable; supporting equality, flexibility, and inclusion in the workplace; treating

employees with respect; giving back to the community; and making those corporate

actions moral are all examples of CSR. On the other hand, many organizations seek to go

above and beyond their legal obligations by incorporating the concept of "serving good"

into their operations.

2. Do you believe that startup businesses must also participate actively in Corporate Social

Responsibility programs and activities? Defend your answer.

 Yes. Engagement in CSR projects and activities is critical to a startup's success. Impact

investing, social entrepreneurship, and corporate social responsibility are all on the rise.

For starters, it can help you strengthen your connection. Having these deeper, more real
links with your community may aid your startup company's growth and success. It may

also benefit from its marketing and image.

3. What are the main criticisms against CSR? Do you agree with these criticisms? Explain

your answer.

 CSR criticisms in any company should not be dismissed as a defensive reflex move by self-

interested executives. For starters, requiring CSR may result in the enforcement of

ineffective policies, limiting an organization's ability to produce value. Second, small

businesses are already struggling to stay afloat. Their viability will be significantly

impacted by CSR. I agree with these comments since it depends on how they use them,

such as whether a company focuses more on CSR and implements an appropriate method

that does not harm the company or its future.

4. How can a particular culture adapt to the ethical principles that are common in all

societies?

 Internal influences both encouraging and resisting change have an impact on cultures.

These forces are linked to social structures and environmental events, and they play a

role in the perpetuation of cultural ideas and practices within contemporary frameworks,

which are constantly changing. Moreover, Ethical behavior is founded on society's

standards and concepts, both written and unwritten. It depicts different viewpoints on

what is right, wrong, just, and unjust in human action. They can persuade decision-makers

who make decisions on behalf of their organizations to accept ethical standards.

Create an illustration/drawing either digital or not that shows the negative and positive duties of

Corporate Social Responsibility. Write a short description below of your drawing /illustration.

The illustration above depicts the positive and negative impact of corporate social responsibilities

(CSR). On the left hand side, as you can see, is a better picture of society. Buildings, trees, and the

money growing on trees represent the abundance of money in society. Contrary to what’s on the

left, this is the right part of the illustration. Where the completely opposite environment can be

found. Yet, this person crossing from one part to the other brought hope to the dying society. This

person was carrying a basket of good deeds, which were labeled as CSR. Therefore, CSR also

affects the cost of the business, despite its being a benefit to our environment. The more a

company is active in doing their corporate social responsibility, the more money is being put into
that said activity. The money that has been growing on trees disappears, but instead it is CSR that

is present.
