In 1,000 to 1,200 words, students should demonstrate their understanding of how a HRM
concept they learnt in the course could be best applied (or is being applied) in a real-life
workplace situation or in an organization in Hong Kong. A HRM concept can be as broad as
personnel selection or as narrow as the use of personality test in screening candidates. The
real-life workplace situation should exist now or happened in the last two years. Students
should clearly describe the core service/product of the organization or the workplace
situation, state specifically the HRM concept, and critically evaluate how the concept can be
applied (or is being applied) in the organization. Specific recommendations should be given
to enhance the effectiveness of HRM in the organization. The source of information should be
stated in-text or in the reference list with in-text citation.
Format of the written paper: All contents should be type-written on A4 pages with a font
size of 11. A word count must be stated at the end of the paper. A margin of at least 1 inch on
all sides should be used.
