Movie Review – Big Hero 6

The movie Big Hero 6 is one of my favorite movies since it was released when I was in junior
high. I'm a big fan of Disney films since I was a child. In line with the technology-related college course I
took, since I eventually planned to start my own business producing different types of technology
someday. The character's use of their brilliant minds to develop new technology in the film greatly
inspires me.
The characters in the film consisted of Hiro Hamada, GoGo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Fred, and
Tadashi Hamada. In the opening scene, Hiro is a boy who loves playing robot fighting or bot fights. His
brother regretted the potential his brother had. So, he then decided to take his brother Hiro to his school to
learn beyond Hiro's knowledge. Hiro then joined the student showcase to get the approval of his
professor. Hiro produced a plethora of micro-bots, which he used in his bot fights to display in the event
in their school. He also invented a device called a neural transmitter than can control the micro-bots
telepathically into anything he thinks the micro-bots can do. The phenomenon known as magnetic-
bearing servos causes each micro-bot to attract other micro-bots. He highlighted that his invention applies
to construction, wherein it would take one person to build something instead of a team that would take
months or years. It is also relevant to modes of transportation that can move anything.
Then Hiro met his brother's classmates, each of whom had a specific interest. When Hiro first met
GoGo, an electromagnet enthusiast, she was designing a special bike that operates on electronically
magnetic suspended wheels that have zero resistance, allowing the wheels to move freely. He then met
Wasabi, who was doing his thing about a technology equipped with laser-induced plasma with little
confinement for ultra-precision. Hiro also met Honey Lemon, who was busy carrying around a 400-pound
tungsten carbide, which is an incredibly dense substance. She experimented with it by adding chemicals
such as perchloric acid, cobalt, and hydrogen peroxide to make a spray paint-like that she sprayed on the
tungsten until fully coated. The tungsten carbide turned into dust as she touched it, creating chemical
embrittlement. Hiro also got to meet Fred, a superhero enthusiast who wears the school mascot but
dreamed about being a fire-breathing lizard. Hiro got to meet Baymax, a personal healthcare companion
that his brother created. Tadashi explained to Hiro how he programmed Baymax with over 10,000
medical procedures into a card chip. Baymax has a vinyl body for a non-threatening huggable design. It
also has a hyperspectral camera, a titanium carbon fiber skeleton, killer actuators, and a lithium-ion
battery. Baymax can lift to a thousand pounds, scan people to examine them, disinfect, generate
heat, waterproof, and is programmed to determine everyone's healthcare needs. Hiro later learned that his
brother had to do it 84 times for Baymax to function correctly. They got an upgrade for their team when
they went on a mission to find out who was hiding behind the mask connected to Hiro's reappearance of
micro-bots. Hiro helped Honey lemon with her chemical experiment to make a purse bag that can shoot
chemical balls for defense and offense as her weapon by inputting different chemical properties. Hiro also
assisted GoGo in speeding up her mag-discs by employing them as weapons on her foot and hand rather
than a bike. Hiro was helping Fred to mimic his favorite Lizard character to create a suit that would make
his dream come true to breathe fire. Hiro equipped Fred’s suit armor with features like a super jump
powered by a leg piston, 332-T spring recoil system, hyper piston, magnetic launcher, jump activated,
impact compression, and flame thrower. Hiro used Wasabi's knowledge of laser-induced plasma to help
him create an arm machine that produces laser-induced plasma whenever Wasabi needs it and can cut
objects easily. Hiro also upgraded Baymax’s armor, creating a set of fighting codes embedded on a chip
that would make Baymax do karate to fight. For Baymax to begin using its combat abilities, a chip with
encoded fighting codes- was inserted into his access. Baymax follows commands that a user tells him to
do. When Hiro told Baymax to kill their enemy, Tadashi's healthcare card chip kept him from harming
anyone. However, as soon as Hiro removed Tadashi's chip, Baymax turned into a deadly robot until
Honey Lemon obtained his healthcare chip back.
