Part -1

Students’ presentation in the form of skit /play /story telling /role play /narration /creative writing
/styling on the traditional textile selected along with relevant information about GI and its benefits
derived.

Part -2

Students to search for any 10 samples of the selected textile possessed by one/more International
Museum and present them along with complete details in a PowerPoint presentation.

ASSIGNMENT -2 /END MODULE ASSSESSMENT : 30 Marks

Part -1

Students to gather primary data on any one selected traditional textile and its evolution with regards
to raw material, colours, motifs, evolution, and significance and to understand the status of GI
registration, process involved and benefits derived from GI Registration etc. in form of hand
document including visuals.

Report on Craft Museum Visit

END TERM EVALUATION (JURY): 40 Marks

Students to select any one traditional embroidery /tie dyed/textiles /printed and painted textiles and
make a handwritten document including the 3 focus areas of the craft viz.,the craft (map of
origin ,GI status of the craft material ,tools ,techniques ,traditional motifs /design directory )study of
sustainable fibres used in the craft ,the craft practitioner and the end user /market and present the
case study on the use of the particular technique in contemporary style by the leading designers
both national /international /brands /industry .

Type: Individual

Deliverables: handwritten research document (A4 size) and creative presentation/display of the
design directory along with original samples to visually showcase the essence of its place of origin.

Evaluation Parameters:

-In-depth research on traditional textile and its contemporary usage along with detail study about GI
of the craft (15 MARKS)

-Design directory (10 marks)

-Presentation & documentation (15)
