- Students will be able to identify and demonstrate the proper use of drafting tools and
materials in creating technical drawings.

*II. Materials Needed:

- Drawing paper
- Masking tape
- Pencil Sharpener
- Eraser
- Drawing pencil
- Triangular Scale
- Erasing Shield
- T-square
- Triangle
- Compass
- Divider
- Protractor

*III. Lesson Content:

1. *Introduction to Drafting Tools and demonstrate how to used it:

- Discuss the importance of drafting tools in technical drawing.
- Introduce each tool:
- Drawing paper: It is made specifically for making technical drawings.
- Masking tape: It is intended to hold blueprints to a drawing board or light table, and to
pull off easily without damaging the drawing.
- Pencil Sharpener: Leaves the graphite untouched and sharpens only the wood.
- Eraser: Kneaded for light erasing and vinyl for heavy erasing.
- Drawing pencils: Different grades for varying line weights and shading.
- Triangular Scale: A ruler that has a 3-lobed cross-section with 6 different types of
scales on the edges (2 on each face) used for measuring and preparing scale drawings
such as blueprints and maps.
- Erasing Shield: A mask for protecting parts of a drawing so that only the area
exposed in the chosen cut-out is erased.
- T-square: Used for drawing horizontal lines and aligning the drawing paper.
- Triangles: Used for drawing angled lines and maintaining precision.
- Compass: Used for drawing circles and arcs.
- Divider: Provides a smooth surface for drawing.
- Protractor: Used for measuring and drawing angles.

2. *Application and Activity (20 minutes):

- Assign a simple technical drawing task that requires the use of multiple drafting
tools.
- Provide guidelines and specifications for the drawing task.
- Encourage students to utilize the proper tools and techniques learned during the
demonstration.
- Circulate the classroom to provide assistance and feedback as students work on
their drawings.
This are the guide question:
 - Review the completed drawings as a class.
 - Discuss any challenges students faced and how they overcame them.
 - Reinforce the importance of precision and accuracy in technical drawing.

*IV. Assessment:
- Evaluate students based on their ability to:
- Identify and name drafting tools correctly.
- Demonstrate the proper use of each tool during the practical activity.
- Produce a technically accurate drawing utilizing the drafting tools.

*V. Closure:
- Encourage students to continue exploring and mastering the use of drafting by
producing a accurate drawing utilizing the drafting tools.
