1. What are the factors that influence educational performance of students from
disadvantage background?
ANSWER:
The factors that factors that influence educational performance of students
from disadvantaged background are socioeconomic status, family structure,
type of school, absences, gender, ethnicity and geographical/ location.
2. As an educator, what would be the policy implication you could give from
lesson you have learned?
ANSWER:
As educator, the policy implication I would like to give from the lesson I have
learned is that the socio-economic status as reflected by the level of parental
education, was a key predictor of student academic achievement. Parents
have a significant role in student’s level of academic achievement. I believe
having a supportive parent in your academic will boost your confidence to
perform well in your study.
