Hello There! It’s been a while since the last time I posted a BOOK HAUL related post!

Since I didn’t buy much last year (2018) because I was busy with university stuffs that I don’t have time
to read my TBR. So I refrain myself from buying books and holistically followed the BOOK-BUYING-BAN
rule. So from the beginning of 2019 “BOOK SALE” was a thing! There’s BIG BAD WOLF, BOOK BINGE
BAZAAR, CUBAO BLOW OUT SALE and some local shops in my place. Book sales that I couldn’t go to
thanks to my dear country for being an archipelago and I’m so jealous with my fellow Filipino
Bookstagrammers, who were able to buy lots of books in cheaper prices. So I was finally given a chance,
huge thanks to National Book Store for having another sale from selected branches in the Philippines. So
there’s this NBS Blowout Sale and it was only for 3 days, three freaking days! Luckily I still have some
extra money to splurge myself with new books to read.

When the first day of the sale came, I was so freaking excited and luckily I don’t have class that day. So I
went early and I was so shock that I was the only booknerd in the store at that time. No one was panic
buying, no one was grabbing themselves some cheap books? When I was standing there at the book
store, looking through all the books that were screaming “Buy Me! Buy Me!” At that very moment I
really don’t know what to buy so I walk from shelf to shelf, scanning all the books and I finally found
what I’ve been looking for.

Also at that very moment I heard the staff said “Parang pinamimigay lang natin yung mga libro, grabi
yung discount” (It was like we’re just giving away our books) even the staffs were shocked by the
discounted prices of their books. So I finally have three books in my arms and that time I decided to get
myself a basket. Damn, it was my first time to grab a basket for book shopping.

Just Wow! From P4829 – P1754

After finalizing all the books that I want to buy, I finally went to the cashier. While lining up I heard some
kids talking about my basket of books and whispering to each other “ang dami dami nya naming binili” I
was just smiling at them. When Its finally my turn to pay, the Manager of bookstore was on the counter
and she spoke to me “Wow Ma’am ang dami ah, nako once in a blue moon lang yung sale nato” (Wow
Ma’am that’s a lot, well this is just a once in a blue moon sale”
I replied “Yes po kasi dati sa Cubao lang yung sale” (Yes, coz last time it was only in Cubao) “Kasi Ma’am
nagpadala ako ng letter na isama sa sale yung SM Iloilo branch” (Because I sent a letter to put SM Iloilo
branch on sale) Wow! Miss Manager was my savior, huge thanks to her.

So that’s all those are the books that I’ve been wanting and tempting to buy from 2017-2018
I really enjoyed the book shopping and I was so thrilled that I went back the next day to buy more but I
end up not buying for myself but for my dearest friend Zel (@thebookmetropolis)
