TASK INSTRUCTION:

Waste Management Plan (WMP) is the essential framework for waste management
and good practice in Demolition work.:

Produce a Waste Management Plan (WMP) in associate with:

• Used Provision Guidelines on Construction Waste Management by
CIDB Malaysia.
• Develop a complete outline and synthesis of Waste Management Plan
in demolition work

Group 1: 2 Storey factory

Group 2: 9-16 Storey Concrete Building
Group 3: 9-16 Storey Steel Structure
Group 4: 9-16 Storey Concrete &Steel Structure
Group 5: 9-16 Storey Concrete Highrise Structure
Group 6: 2-4 Storey Concrete and Timber building

9th.December, 2022 @ 2359 Hrs ( Week 8 )

REQUIREMENTS:

All report content have to be presented in any format (1.0 spacing, Arial with
the font size of 12) of approximately 5 – 25 pages. The report written in
English will be an added advantage. The content of the assignment should at
least consist of the followings:

(i) Introduction – Organization chart show responsibilities for waste

management, Estimated waste generated, identify waste destination and
transport modes, produce layout for location of designated sorting area
for 3R(Reduce,reuse,recycle)
(ii) Concept and Strategy– Priorities based on legistative waste
management hierarchy, Cradle to Grave concept, Enviromentally friendly
system, identify waste that can be recycle and have market value.
(iii) Objective
(iv) Waste Management Hierarchy – Waste Minimisation Activities,
Recycle,Identified and Exploration of Waste Minimisation Opportunities,
Implementation, Transportation and disposal system
(v) Waste Management Plan –Type and estimated quantity generated
during demolition work, method for CDL waste salvage, reused, recycling,
and disposal during demolition, Proposed method of salvage, method in
handling and transportation procedure. ( sample as Appendix A )
(vi) Conclusion

1. Student need to attached group members Minutes of Meeting (MoM). The

meeting/discussion using online platform (teams or meet) between group
members. Screenshot and attach in the report. ( Appendix B )
