4.2.2 The pesticides and rodenticides used are approved and

registered, and a list of such pesticides is maintained.
Unused Pesticide and empty pesticide containers are carried back the same day
by License Contractor / Agency.

4.2.3 Samples of labels and Material safety data sheet for each pesticide being used
are maintained and are readily available for reference in the event of anybody
affected by it. Antidotes for each pesticide are also made available with first aid
box at Main Security Gate.

4.3 Pest control Schedule

4.3.1 First step to institute pest control, a Pest Control Layout of the plant
(WI/HRD/03/01) has been prepared, indicating the production and storage areas,
entry points for employees, material and products, exit points for dispatching the
products, scrap yards and waste holding / handling areas, sanitary
conveniences, corridors as well as the open spaces of the plant within the
premises. The layout also indicates the type of pesticides and pest control
devices such as spray, fumigation, baits and traps. The pest control layout is
updated as and when any change occurs. All rodent traps / glue traps, flying
insect catchers have been numbered and suitably identified on the layout.

4.3.2 A Schedule of Pest Control is prepared (F/HRD/03/01) stating the pesticides to

be used along with their dosage and methods of application, keeping in mind the
pest and rodent activity, possibilities of contamination with the product. This
schedule is affected by incidence of pest in different seasons. It is ensured that
the pest control operator follows the schedule. Records of pesticide usage are
being maintained on the Pesticide Usage Log (F/HRD/03/02).
4.3.3. The Pest control Operator performs pest control activities under the supervision
of the Head Housekeeping and submits a report for the work done.

4.3.4. Tamper resistant bait box using approved rodenticides, with lids locked have
been firmly anchored along the exterior perimeter. Mechanical traps / glue traps

have been placed along the interior walls, at each side of all
entrances to the production area, raw material storage area
and finished good storage area for controlling rodents. No feeding stations inside
the plant have been employed for rodent control activity. The traps are inspected
and cleaned once in a week or earlier, if needed, and the findings recorded on
the Rodent Control Log Sheet (PPS) (F/HRD/03/05). The exterior premises of the
plant are inspected once in a month for presence of rodent burrows and any
other conditions that attract rodents. As and when any such condition is identified
the burrow is immediately filled up.

4.3.5. Additionally a Rodent Control History card is being maintained for each of the
Rodent control devices, and the same is updated with findings at each service
and cleaning carried out.

4.3.6. Electric flying traps have been placed at strategic points so that insects are not
attracted from outside the building. They have been installed in a manner such
that they are placed at least 10 feet (3 meters) away from the exposed product
on a production or packaging line. All these flying insectocutors units are cleaned
on a weekly basis during peak insect season from June to September while
during other months it is cleaned on a monthly frequency. The light tubes in the
electric flying traps are changed on an annual basis and records of this
maintained. Location of electric traps is as per Plan (WI/HRD/03/02). All traps
are cleaned as per schedule & recorded on Insect Light trap Monitoring &
Cleaning Service Log sheet (EFK) (F/HRD/03/03).

4.3.7. A treatment for management of pests such as houseflies, flies & grates is carried
out as per the Pest Control Layout (WI/HRD/03/01) and Pest Control Schedule
(F/HRD/03/01). The same is recorded in a fly control log sheet (IFM)
(F/HRD/03/06).

4.3.9. Shutters / doors have been installed at every entrance and the same are kept
closed when not in use so as to prevent entry of birds. All production areas have
only fixed longhaired glass windows to control the entry of birds / flying insects.
4.3.10. Integrated Lizard management : The treatment will be based on preventive
control which is aimed at controlling breeding points with in your Above mention
premises at Outside Wall area in monthly basis.
If preventive measures as explained below are followed properly ,chances of
lizard infestation is minimum and hence chemical control on general should be
avoid in this case . For critical cases Spot treatment s with Synthetic Pyrethroid
(i.e. Cyphanothrine) & Pestseal ® ready to use formulation may be used during
shut down hours when lizard will be captured from the wall and care will be taken
it does not fall on equipment /product contact surfaces.
4.3.11 Integrated Spider Management : The treatment will be based on preventive
control ,which is aimed at controlling breeding points with in your building corners
at the Entire building blocks accept production area.
Synthetic Pythroides is to be applied as a controlled/ restricted spray at the
junction of wall & roof & junction of two wall with in 1.5 lt. Lightweight or 5- ltr
capacity hand compression sprayer. Only in the critical situations we advice use
of chemicals like lambdacyhalothrin , Deltamethrine, Cyphanothrine in monthly
basis, however it may be noted that if cleaning schedule is properly followed and
cobwebs are cleaned on regular basis, chemical treatment can easily is avoided.
Hence this should be responsibility of FIL housekeeping in charge to clean
cobwebs on routine basis
4.3.12 Insect Monitoring Services :It comprise placement of trap containing lure at entry
points, are pheromone secreted from exocrine gland of female insect which
attract male and insect get trap which indicate presence of insect density around
factory premises and we focus on spraying around premises to control insect.
4.3.13 Repellent Treatment : This comprises spay of Carbolic acid along first and
second of line control to repel the snake away from factory premises
4.3.14 Pest control agency shall carried out data analysis of pest and rodent activities
and submit detailed report along with the recommendations to the head house
