Teaching is the profession that teaches the other profession, as the saying goes.
Thus, it has been my passion to teach other people.
As the teacher discussed the lesson, the students are paying attention and
listening to her. Afterwards, she asked the students if someone could answer the
question about the topic they discussed yesterday and many of the students raised
their hands. The students are actively participating in answering the question.
Students must engage in the discussion for a better learning due to the teacher
and other factors affecting the learning of the students.

The class started with a prayer then greeted their teacher including us FS
students. After the greeting and prayer, the teacher checked the attendance.
She asked her students to get their papers and write their name and copy the
letter Y infront. So, as I can see that the students are doing the tasked well and they
can easily follow and understand the instructions given by the teacher. She also asked
those students who were finished doing the activity to teach their classmates who
were still doing the acivity. In this part, she also used the the method of cooperative
learning.
I had observed that they are really willing to learn because almost all of them
are participating in the discussion of their classmates.

It was my fifth hour in the first day of observation. So, teacher Roxan started
with a prayer before they’re having their break.
After they are having their break, teacher Roxan calling their attention to go
back their proper sit and get their notebook. Teacher Roxan discussed the topic about
letter Y the students are participating and following of what teacher Roxan said. So,
during this discussion, I have noticed that the teacher showed some pictures that start
with letter Y before going down to the details. This method can be associated to the
deductive method in presenting the lesson. The students are able to understand
because the lesson was presented in an organized manner.
This will provide a clearer discussion about the topic and let the students
understand things that easy to be taught.

As their daily routine, they started with a prayer and greetings at the same
time, the teacher asked about what kind of weather they have that day, date, and how
many days are there in one week and she told her student to get their papers and write
their name, as always.

As they started, teacher Roxan asked of what topic that they discussed
yesterday and also she told to her student to get their crayons before having their
activity which is collage making. After it, they settled and started the activity. Rules
and regulation must be present to maintain order in the classroom.

For rules to be effective, students and teachers must agree on it for an


organized teaching-learning process.

After the activity they had, teacher Roxan facilitate to have an energizer first
before she precede to the next discussion which is value.
As her student following of what she did, the students are getting alive and at
the same time they have energy. Through this, she effectively managed their students.
It is like shifting or changing her strategies to fit in the student’s needs in
learning. There is a variation of students.
Therefore, teachers must use different techniques/strategies so that the
teaching learning-process will be effective in every kind of student.

On my seven hours of observation, teacher Roxan starting to discussed the


topic which is about churches and she asked her student of what those kind of value
when you are having a church time. At the same time, teacher Roxan showed some
examples and gave a question afterwards.

She also gave an activity which is related to the topic and she instructed the
students on what to do, after receiving their activity sheets. She also monitored the
students on what they are doing and assisted those who have queries.
Giving an assessment after the discussion can make the students learn more
and the lessons will remain on there mind.

Teacher Roxan started the class by doing the same routine like what she also
did. After the greeting and prayer, teacher Roxan asked her students of what day they
have yesterday and what is the next they should be followed and the same time she
checked the attendance.
After checking the attendance, teacher Roxan asked to her students to get their
notebook and pencils because they will having a seatwork which is about the topic
yesterday and the only thing they do is that to copy of what teacher Roxan written on
the board.
The students were very participative and cooperative so that they finished their
assigned task. I can see in their faces that they are eager to learn. Students were
motivated and interested to learn.

On the eight hours of my observation. Teacher Roxan told her students to go


back and sit properly so that they will have their break but before that she started with
a prayer which is giving thanks to the Lord our God. And after, she will proceed to the
next activity which is coloring.
As they finished their break she told her student’s to get their crayons and
teacher Roxan gave some sheets so that they will start. Teacher Roxan tells her
students that they should have to color those sheets without an overlapping. All of
them are happy and enjoy while having the tasked and they are started comparing to
their classmates.
I observed that the students likes the activity that there going to present for
there parents.

This is my nine hours of observing the class, as a teacher I found myself


thinking what if the day will come that I will be the one teaching, facilitating and
discussing the lesson. Would it be the same as the assigned teacher? What will be the
outcome?
Teacher Roxan will take over the class and she tells the students that they will
have a quiz or seatwork which is matching type. Teacher Roxan explained first before
they will precede the activity of what teacher roxan given. After checking their
activities all of them got a star.

I had observed that they are really willing to learn because all of them are
participating.

The class started by having the greeting, prayer, and checking of the
attendance as the daily routine.
Teacher Roxan tells her students to get their papers and pencils to write their
name in a one whole sheet of paper for their practice so that they will know later on of
how to write their name properly. After checking their works she gave a star to her
students so that the student will motivated to learn at the same time.
And at the same time, she will have an ice breaker first before she proceed to
the next topic.

Therefore, it is important that a teacher could gather the attention of students


through different teaching strategies so that students could really learn during the
discussion.

As teacher Roxan started the next activity, she discussed and explained of
what they are going to do. So, teacher Roxan write an alphabetical letters on the board
and she sung it as her students to sing also. She will try to test her student to identify
which are the small letters and big letters so that her student will participate at the
same time.
After that, she told her students to get a pencil and teacher Roxan will be the
one who gave a sheet for their another activity which is to fill in the missing baby
letter.

I had observed that they are really willing to learn because all of them are
participating.

After their activity, teacher Roxan told her student to have their break and take
some rest so that they will proceed to the next discussion which is about church.

As teacher Roxan started, she having an exercise first so that her student did
not feel sleepy in her class. During the discussion, teacher asked her students who are
those people and what is there purpose. So, the students were actively participating on
answering and guessing every questions of their teacher. They answer one after
another. When discussing the topic, you must involve the students in it, because
passive interaction or only the teacher talks inside the classroom makes learning not
so effective. We should strategies on how we should involve our students in the
discussion.
Again, the teacher should have better teaching strategies so that the students
learn the topic very well.

On my sixteenth day of observation, the teacher makes again new techniques


about managing the lesson with effective discussion.
During the class, the teacher uses different techniques. The teacher conduct a
review lesson and conduct new technique, and it’s should be effective. We should fill
up the needs of the students with the possibility to learn more. The teacher must make
his/her student to participate in class every discussion.
As they say that a teacher should be resourceful. So we must think of
strategies that would make our students enjoy while learning new things about their
lesson.

This is my last day of my last hour. As teacher Roxan started the next activity,
she discussed and explained of what they are going to do. So, teacher Roxan write an

will try to test her student to identify which are the small letters and big letters so that
her student will participate at the same time.
After that, she told her students to get a pencil and teacher Roxan will be the
one who gave a sheet for their another activity which is to look for the missing letter
which is the big letter. And after, she said that the oe who finished early is the one
who got a three star.
This approach is called law of effect, on of the principles in learning in which
students are motivated if they will be given a reward.

While we are waiting for our Fs Coordinator, Ms. Falculan oriented us first at
the gym of S.I.R Elementary School of what we are going to do and she also said that
we must be polite all the time. She also said that we should have to be punctual and
Ma’am Falculan also said that we should be in proper attire and always wore our
uniform when we are having our duty and she always reminding us that we are here to
observe and to do our job and purpose not to impress and acting like a highness.

When Ms. Blasquez was come and ready to orient us, we started first with a
prayer and greetings. Afterwards, she starting to introduce her name and she also
started to share. She discuss first of what are we going to do, what should to be
followed and also she said that we must pass our journal before five days of defense.
While she is talking infront, there are some fs students who interact just to asked a
question and for clarification. When everybody was listening we also take down notes
those details that we need to be followed and to do. As we end, we are glad to be her
in their school and before we go, we are having some picture taking for our
documentation.
