Smart Home.

Creating a new life of self-sufficiency.

What does self-sufficient mean to you?

Today’s economy is becoming more and more difficult and

complicated. The cost of living has risen too much and has put a
tremendous strain on many households. Many people find
themselves working 60-70 hours a week just to maintain their
lifestyles. They feel trapped by the demands of society and
don't see true happiness.

You and your family are tired of the living in a world where the
cost of living is becoming more expensive each year. The price
of electricity and water has risen dramatically and is continuing
to rise. The cost of food is at an all-time high. Your daily
routine has become monotonous and you have little time to relax
as a family and enjoy the free time have.

You have decided to go back to the basics of living and become

successful in being self-sufficient. You have just sold your home
for 250,000 euros and you are looking for a place in a location to
develop up your own self sufficient home.

You will need to plan carefully using the given information a

detailed plan of how you will become self-sufficient.

1) This will require a list of all equipment you will need along
with cost calculation within your budget and well thought
out reasons for making all your decisions. (See the shop for
some advice on equipment. Any extra equipment you think
you will need has to be calculated in the cost)
2) You will need to organize a daily routine plan for your
family.
3) You will need to present a diagram of the plan of your
house and the land around you. Explanations will need to be
given about your design.

There are 3 main categories:

PHASE 1: research (Choosing a location) - planning - buying land

PHASE 2: building our house - working toward energy

independence

PHASE 3: organic gardening - raising animals
