Row 14: edge st., k 14, knit next 23 sts on dpns (row 1 of the
sleeve).

Turn the knitting.

Rows 2–18: stockinette stitch (st st) (work edge stitches also).
Rows 19–23: 1 × 1 rib stitch.
Cast off sleeve stitches, cut a yarn of about 25 cm to sew the parts
of the sleeve together.
Continue knitting the back of the overalls: join the working
yarn and knit 24 sts with circular needles.
Switch to the dpns again to knit the second sleeve. Rows
2–18: st st (23 sts). Rows 19–23: 1 × 1 rib stitch, cast off
sts. Leave a yarn tail of about 25 cm to sew the parts of the
sleeve together.

Switch to the circular needles. Join the working yarn and knit the
right side of the overalls: k 14, edge st. (54).
Row 15: edge st., k 4, p 44, k 4, edge st. (54).

Rows 16–19: st st; do not forget to knit the first four stitches after
the edge stitch and the last four stitches before the edge stitch in
wrong side rows (4 rows).
Row 20: edge st., k 50, cast off 1 st., edge st. (53).
Row 21: edge st., k 1, cast on 1 st., k 2, p 44, k 4, edge st. (54).

Row 23: edge st., k 4, p 56, k 4, edge st. (66).
Rows 24–27: st st; do not forget to knit the first four stitches after
the edge stitch and the last four stitches before the edge stitch in
wrong side rows (4 rows).
Row 28: edge st., k 4, inc, (k 5, inc) × 10 times, k 6, inc, k 2, cast
off 1 st., edge st. (77).
Row 29: edge st., k 1, cast on 1 st., k 2, p 68, k 4, edge st. (78).
Row 30: edge st., k 76, edge st. (78).
Row 31: edge st., k 4, p 68, k 4, edge st. (78).
Row 32: edge st., k 35, cast off 6 sts (a hole for a tail), k 35, edge
st. (72).
Row 33: edge st., k 4, p 31, cast on 6 sts, p 31, k 4, edge st. (78).
Rows 34–52: st st; do not forget to knit the first four stitches after
the edge stitch and the last four stitches before the edge stitch in
wrong side rows. Knit buttonholes in rows 36 and 44 (19 rows).
Row 53: this is the row where you start knitting the overalls legs.
Work the first five stitches onto an auxiliary needle, p 68, k 4, edge
st. (78).

5Row 54: overlap the sides making sure that the side with
buttonholes is on top.
Take another auxiliary needle. Slip stitches onto it from the first
auxiliary needle and from the main (circular) needles in turn. The
first stitch should be from the side with buttonholes.

Then cast off sides’ stitches using an auxiliary needle, working 3

sts together at a time.
When there is one stitch left after casting off, slip it onto the main
needle and also cast it off (working it together with the next stitch).
There are 68 sts on the needles left.

Then use an auxiliary needle to work 31 sts in 1 × 1 rib stitch (row

1 of the leg).

Turn the knitting. Work four more rows in 1 × 1 rib stitch (5 rows
altogether). Cast off stitches (working 2 sts together), leave a yarn
tail of about 25 cm to sew the parts together.
Then join the yarn from the skein next to the first leg (the back).

Cast off 6 sts (working 3 sts together at a time). There are 31 sts
on the needles left (the second leg). Work 5 rows in 1 × 1 rib
stitch. Cast off stitches (working 2 sts together). Leave a yarn tail of
about 25 cm to sew the parts together.

Sew the legs, the space between them, and then the sleeves with
a mattress stitch seam. Hide and cut off the excess yarn tails.
A Hood

Cast on 42 sts on the upper edge of the overalls (the neck), leaving
5 sts on every side.

Row 1: edge st., k 3, p 34, k 3, edge st. (42).

Row 2: edge st., k 3, inc, (k 1, inc) × 34 times, k 3, edge st.
(77).
Row 3: edge st., k 3, p 69, k 3, edge st. (77).
Rows 4–56: st st; do not forget to knit the first three stitches after
the edge stitch and the last three stitches before the edge stitch in
wrong side rows (53 rows).

After that, slip 38 sts onto an auxiliary needle.

Fold the hood in two with the wrong side outside. Now slip the
stitches from each needle to an auxiliary needle in turn, one by
one.
Cast off stitches (working 3 sts together at a time).

Fasten off the yarn, hide it and cut the excess tail. Sew on buttons.
The overalls are ready.
A Cap for a Teddy Bear (for a 35-cm head
size)
Cast on 66 sts (circular needles).
Rows 1–6: edge st., 1 × 1 rib stitch, edge st. (6 rows).
Rows 7–22: st st (16 rows).
Row 23: edge st., k 15, cast off 10 sts, k 14, cast off 10 sts, k 15,

Rows 25–34: st st (10 rows).

Row 35: edge st., 1 × 1 rib stitch, edge st. (66).
Row 36: edge st., (purl dec, k 1, p 1) × 16 times, edge st. (50).
Row 37: work sts as they appear (50).
Row 38: edge st., (purl dec, p 1) × 16 times, edge st. (34).
Row 39: work sts as they appear (34).
Row 40: edge st., (p 1, purl dec) × 10 times, edge st. (22).
Row 41: work sts as they appear (24).
Row 42: dec till the end of the row.
Collect the rest stitches onto a yarn with the
help of a sewing needle. Pull the stitches
tightly in a ring and sew the cap using a
mattress stitch seam. Hide and cut off the
yarn tails.
I hope that you have enjoyed the process
and even more – the result!
