I. Title: Squeaky Cleany Laundry

II. Problem: What brand of laundry powder will be the best for washing clothes?

III. Hypothesis: If we use the brand Surf for doing laundry, then it will be the best for washing
clothes.

IV. Materials:
- Tide Soap
- Breeze Soap
- Ariel Soap
- Surf soap
- Measuring Cup
- White cloth (3 x 4 in.)
- Basins
- Hanger
- Instant coffee
- Tap water
- Hot water
- Bowl

VI. Variables
 A. Controlled Variables
● Kind of laundry soap
● Amount of the laundry powder
● Volume of water
● Type of water
● Type of cloth

B. Manipulative Variables
1. Independent Variable: brand of laundry powder.
2. Dependent Variable: which cloth has the least stain.

VII. Procedure
1. Gather and prepare the materials.
2. Heat up 5 cups of water.
3. Combine 3 tablespoons of instant coffee and hot water, mix thoroughly.
4. Soak 4 pieces of cloth in the mixture for 60 minutes. (this will serve as the stain).
5. After an hour, remove the cloths from the mixture and hang them out to dry.
6. Prepare the basins, they should be filled with 5 liters of water
7. Add ½ cup of laundry powder into separate basins.
8. Hand-wash four pieces of cloth 5 times to each basin with Tide, Breeze, Ariel and Surf powder
9. Compare the cloths to see which has the least stain.
10. Take before and after pictures.
