the reproductive organs

III. PROCEDURE
A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
1. Opening song Let children sing a song “ If your happy and you know it”
2. Review: State the positive and negative effects of the following
situations:
a. Ana got pregnant when she was just 15 years old.
b. Lydia got pregnant when she was 45.
c. Carla got pregnant at the right age but at maximum risk
due to her heart ailment.
B. Instructional Procedure

Taking Care of the Reproductive Organs?”
Let them answer the guide questions:
1. How important proper hygiene in our body?
2. What will happen if we do not clean our reproductive
organs?
3. What are the problems encountered by teenage during
puberty stage?
3. Explanation 1. Ask each group to present the results of their activity and
answer the guide questions.

 Care for the Reproductive Organs
 Proper care of the reproductive organs starts with wearing
of clean underwear. Boys and girls of your age must
practice proper hygiene to avoid discomfort and prevent
serious illnesses.
 Proper Care for Boys
During puberty, your body experiences many changes.
You should be aware that practicing proper hygiene is
important.
1. Always wash your external reproductive organ with mild
soap and water when taking a bath.
2. Do not borrow underwear from anybody.
3. Always changes your underwear daily as often as
needed.
4. Always wear clean underwear.
5. Consult a doctor when you have problem with your
reproductive organs.
 Proper Care for Girls
Females in puberty experience menstruation every
month. Thus, girls need to make sure that their reproductive
organ is always clean. They use a sanitary napkin to absorb
the blood released from their vagina during menstruation. It is
also used to prevent staining of clothes during this time of the
month.
1. Always wash your external reproductive organ with
mild soap and water regularly.
2. Do not borrow underwear from anybody.
3. Always wear clean underwear and change it daily.
4. Use a feminine wash three times a week.
5. Talk to your parents and consult a doctor when you
have problems with your reproductive organs.
6. Wear a sanitary napkin whenever needed.
 During menstruation, girls may experience pain in the
lower abdomen. This is called menstrual cramps or
dysmenorrhea.
Listed below are ways on how girls can relieve
themselves from pain caused by menstruation.
1. Take enough rest. Avoid staying up too late.
2. Apply a warm compress on the lower abdomen.
3. Do moderate exercise like cycling movements while
lying down.
 Boys and girls must practice care and concern of their
reproductive organs.

 Identify which practices are intended for boys, which are


for girls, and which can be practiced by both boys and
girls.

Generalization:

1. Have the pupils construct and express their own


ideas/understanding. They should be able to
say/understand that:
There are some ways on how to take care of our reproductive
organs healthy.

2. Ask the pupils to give ways on how to take care of their


own reproductive organs.
3. Problems encountered by teenage under puberty stage.

Note to Teachers on CSE Integratuion:


The teacher needs to explain to the learners that:
 There are things we need to bear in mind that puberty is
a crucial stage, we need to manage our physical, sexual,
emotional-mental and social well being.
 There are persons that we can approach or talk to
whenever we encountered puberty problems.
 Always remember that these problems are all
managable and have solutions.

Directions:
Cut out some pictures that shows proper hygience of reproductive system.Paste
them in a short bond paper.
