Project Planning Outline

1. Project Objectives:

● To provide a resource for Wayne Memorial Hospital employees to have easy access to

important documents relating to Joint Commission compliance standards.

● To satisfy the Joint Commission’s Recommendation For Improvement (RFI).

Project Strategies:

I am creating compliance binders for the hospital to store documents related to standard

compliance with the Joint Commission. Once the supplies come in, I will start off by putting the

front covers and tabs into the correlating binders. I will then create a list of needed documents for

myself and the Director of Engineering to check off as documents are inserted into the binders. I

will go almost every week to pick up documents and organize them in reverse chronological

order into stacks based on the standard. I will make copies of the documents to put behind the

appropriate tab and send back the original copies to the Director of Engineering. My end product

will be an organizational system that can be used in the future to keep important standard

compliance documents organized and easily accessible for the Joint Commission and hospital

employees.

2. Presentation Objectives:

● To showcase my internship experience and project at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

● To increase my audience’s knowledge of the Joint Commision and its connection to

public health.

Presentation Strategies:

I plan on doing my presentation in the form of a powerpoint, which will highlight the

work I have been doing during my internship, focusing on my main project. I will use my
presentation to showcase my project and discuss what the Joint Commission is, the importance

of developing compliance books, and how Joint Commission standards relate to public health. I

will use engaging visual aids, such as photos of my internship work, as well as provide specific

examples of standards to connect to public health. I plan on inviting all members of the Nursing

and Hospital Administration as well as sending out my presentation to everyone I have worked

with throughout the semester via my electronic portfolio.

plan on giving this activity to my audience at the end of my presentation. It will ask my audience

to answer questions to show if they learned important concepts from my presentation. It will also

allow them a place to leave feedback for me to review. This activity will be available online so

anyone viewing my presentation via my e-portfolio can participate through a Google Form.

4. Evaluation:
I will use my activity to evaluate my project and presentation. I plan on looking at the

average score of correct answers from my activity questions. I am hoping that all of my audience

will score at least 6 out of 8 questions correctly. I am also asking my audience to state whether or

not they believe I met my presentation and project objectives and to leave feedback. I plan on

analyzing the results of my activity/evaluation and reporting it in an evaluation conclusion.
