Downloadable eTexts

Savvas Literature offers downloadable versions for offline use of the Student and Teacher
Edition eTexts. Multiple versions are available for different devices. To access the
downloadable eTexts, follow the directions here for your specific device.

How to download PDFs for Desktop or Laptop Computers


If you use a computer, PDFs of the Student Edition are available for download. These PDFs
are embedded within the Student Edition eText.

Step 1:
Within Realize, click
on eText in the upper
menu.

Click on the Downloadable Student


Edition and open the eText.

Step 2: (NOTE: PDFs versions are not


available for Teacher’s Editions)

Step 3:

From the left navigation pane


in the Student eText, select
Downloads for Offline Use
and select the Unit you want
to download.

A window with the PDF will pop up.


Click on the buttons below to Save

How to download eTexts for tablets
If you use tablets, a downloadable version of the Student and Teacher’s Edition are available
for offline use. You can access the eTexts from Realize or directly from the eText App.

Within Realize, click on eText


in the upper menu OR

the eText App.

Select the eTexts with the word


“Downloadable” in the title.

To download content, launch the Download Manager from
within the eText menu or access directly from your
Bookshelf.

If you are within the eText, click the Download Arrow button
OR from the Bookshelf, click More Info.

NOTE: When viewing the


downloadable eText on a tablet, in the
TOC, you will see “Downloads for Offline
Use.” This is NOT the downloadable
eText. This is where you will find PDFs of
the eText meant for users with other
devices.

You can use these PDFs to read the


selections, but note that these do not
include the eText features such as notes
and highlighting.

Step 3:

Once the Download Manager is open, select the


Units you want to be available offline and click
Download Selected Content.

NOTE: Do not log out of or


close the eText App. You need to
remain logged in while you have
an Internet connection, so that The checkmark icon will change
once you are offline you will be to a circle with a black X while
able to access the eText App. downloading.

When downloading is complete,


the icon will change to a red X.

Step 4: Grayed out =


No offline
content available

When your tablet is offline, the books


that have downloaded content will be
available. Not grayed out =
Available offline
Click the book cover that has offline
content, and use as needed. Any notes,
highlighting will be synced when you
are online again.
