I. Read carefully the provisions in section 3(2) of ARTICLE XIV on
Education. Explain the mandate that the state shall “establish,
maintain and support a complete, adequate and integrated
system of education’.
According to the provisions in section 3(2) of ARTICLE XIV on education it means that
all educational institutions should follow or implement a curriculum which is
responsive with what the current society needs. All institutions should have an
adequate support and it should meet the needs in education.
 Complete education means that the state has the commitment to provide
access to quality education for all levels of education from pre-school to
tertiary.
 Adequate educational needs should be address with no gap materials/device
and all physical facilities that will help develop/enhance students learning
must be attended without delay. Additionally, it is sufficient to satisfy the
requirement and meet and the learning needs.
 Integrated means all the learnings/skills shall be in line with the mandated
laws. The state also clarify to develop an education that system that focuses on
formal education, alternative learning system, alternative delivery modes, and
indigenous learning system. To support this provision, the state will provide
financial assistance and efficient student- support system to deserving
students.

II. Based on your observation as would- be teacher, what are the


educational institutions doing to prepare teachers who will
help attain the goals stated in section 3.
Based on my observation as would- be teacher, the educational institutions doing to
prepare teachers who will help attain the goals stated in section 3 is ensuring that the
needs of the learners are noticed and it is properly observed. Additionally, provide
scholarships and vocational training so that learners can still pursue and complete
their education. The educational institutions also resolve issue of shortage of
instructional materials, improve classroom management and promote equal access
and opportunity for learning. The state also encourage non- formal, informal, an
indigenous systems, as well as self- learning, independent and out- of- school study
programs.
