Dear Washington County Public Schools:

The position for an elementary assistant principal at Washington County Public Schools
is of great interest to me. I am excited to interview and learn more information about this
position. I feel that I possess the skills necessary to excel at this position. I have
currently completed my Educational Leadership Certificate to obtain my Administration
certificate from Frostburg State University.

Currently, I am teaching 3rd grade at Maugansville Elementary School. I have also taught
4th grade for 3 years at Maugansville Elementary School. Before that I taught 3rd and 5th
grade for 3 years at Prince Georges County, Maryland.

Education is always changing and as teachers we are always adapting. This is why I feel
that this has helped me create better lessons that reach a wide array of student learning
ability. I am looking for a position where I can assist teachers in creating lessons and
gathering materials to make their instruction more powerful. It would be amazing to be
on the forefront of adapting instruction in all subject areas and helping Washington
County have the necessary materials to teach powerful engaging lessons. I would love to
also utilize my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction that I earned from Gannon
University in 2010. I have a passion for learning and feel that I am ready for the
challenge of a leadership role. I am highly motivated and eager to adapt the Common
Core and implement the 21st Century skills into Washington Countys curriculum and
guide the teachers, students, and community to the next level. .
