STATEMENT ON ACADEMIC INTEGRITY & HONOR CODE

____________________________________________ (course/program) of the BICOL STATE COLLEGE OF
APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY (BISCAST), recognizes the importance of personal integrity in all
aspects of life and work.
I commit myself to truthfulness, honor, and responsibility by which I earn the respect of others. I support
the development of good character in our academic community and commit to uphold the highest standards of
integrity and honesty in all our scholastic works. Integrity is one of the BISCAST core values exemplified by high
standard of behavior and transparency adhering to values, ethical and moral principles. I do this in pursuit of
BISCAST mission, which is to produce exemplary graduates who are globally competitive, ecologically sensitive,
and socially responsive to the needs of the community through quality applied sciences and technology education.
My commitment obliges me to conduct myself according to this Honor Code.

HONOR CODE
1. I will not give or receive any unauthorized help on this exam, and that all work will be my own.

2. I will complete individual assignments or project individually, and neither to accept nor give unauthorized
help.

3. I accept responsibility for my role in ensuring the integrity of the work submitted by the group in which I
participated.

4. I will observe the rules governing assessments and assignments regarding resource material, electronic
aids, copying, collaborating with others, or engaging in any other behavior that subverts the purpose of
the assessment or assignment and the directions of the instructor.

5. I will turn in work done specifically for the paper or assignment, and not to borrow work either from other
students, or from assignments for other courses.

6. I will adhere to the plagiarism policy by giving full and proper credit to sources and references, and to
acknowledge the contributions and ideas of others relevant to academic work.

7. The lectures and course materials, including power point presentations, tests, outlines, recordings and
similar materials, created and shared by the faculty for a particular course should not be reproduced,
distributed or uploaded without the consent of the faculty.
