Report Guidelines: Fall 2022

Report will be written in your already formed groups.

Short report writing format will be used and the report will be 10-15 pages long.

How to Submit:
Reports will be submitted to the “Term Report” tab already integrated with Turnitin and up on the
LMS for both sections. The deadline is set at 11:59 PM, 22 nd Nov 2022.

Naming format: please name your files according to the following format:
Term Report_Group[GrpNbr]
For example, if your group is group#06, your filename should be “Term Report_Group6”.
Just one person should submit. Mention names and ERPs of all the group members.
Acceptable file extensions: “.docx” or “.pdf”

Your report should include:


 Title Page

 Table of Contents

 The Introduction

 Acknowledgments

 The Body

 The Conclusion

Parts of a Report: [Not necessary- Subject to relevance]

 Letter of Transmittal

 Executive Summary

 References

 Recommendations

 Appendices

Apply the following on the chosen company to prepare your report:

 Communication in general (memos, letters, etc)


 Communication within the organization
 Communication outside the organization
 What communication medium/methods are being used
 How are particular situations handled (good news messages, bad news messages,
persuasion, etc)
 Communication in the recruitment process
 How do they communicate their requirements to potential candidates ( through portals,
word of mouth, etc)
 How did covid affect the organization’s communication process and how are things post-
Covid?

You'll be submitting your reports through Turnitin.

Maximum Acceptable similarity index: 11%

You can use online sources for your research, but I doubt you'll find much online. Best way to go
about this is talking to your chosen company's employees and gaining their insight on the objectives
you'll be covering in the report. Best way to connect with company employees is through LinkedIn if
you don't know someone personally.

You'll be presenting your report in class highlighting the things you covered about the company
while making the report. This presentation will be the only one in which you will be marked
individually for what you present, not what the group presents collectively (as has been our practice
so far).
