INTRODUCTION

A performing arts career demands specialized training. Even while certain abilities are innate, developing them is
essential to building a career in the cutthroat performing arts industry. In order to give pupils, the specific abilities in
singing, dance, acting, and other varied kinds of expression, many schools have indeed been developed.
The researchers conducted a Case Study about collegiate school that specializes performing arts. The performing arts
school is therefore the focus of this campus, and its department must be given its own structure. The department shall
provide programs in theater and the performing arts along with film and media studies. Programs in music and
videography will also be essential to performance.

INTRODUCTION
By courtesy of Presidential Decree 1287, the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) was created in 1978
as a resolute public high school in the Philippines that focuses on the arts. According to (Wikipedia Contributors, 2020)
that the Philippine High School for the Arts Building collaborates with the Cultural Center of the Philippines for the
implementation of its arts program’s initiatives and policies from the Department of Education. It also provides a variety
of programs for the specialization of arts under the government.

STYLE OF ARCHITECTURE
Vernacular Architecture and Modernism is to be described for this building. As stated from (Wikipedia
contributors, 2022), it is designed by Leandro V. Locsin. The Philippines’ architecture The Philippines’ architecture is
a representation of the historical and culture of the nation. Though much of Philippine architecture is also inspired by
Japanese, Malay, Hindu, Chinese, and American cultures, Spanish Colonial architecture accounts for the majority of
the archipelago’s notable historical structures. The Philippines’ architecture was heavily influenced by American
aesthetics when the Philippines were given to the United States for compensation for the Spanish-American War in
1898. During this time, the layout for the current City of Manila was created, and numerous neoclassical and art deco
structures were designed by renowned American and Filipino architects. Large areas of Intramuros and Manila were
devastated during World War II.

National Arts Center is in the Philippines in Mount Makiling, Los Banos, Laguna. Stated by (Google, n.d.), the
foundation initiated in 1976. It also accommodates 1,000 audience inside the building. The structure covers 13.5
hectares at the complex of Makiling Forest Reservations which is administered by the Cultural Canter of the Philippines.

INTRODUCTION
The School of People’s Theater (SPT) is the training arm of the Philippine Educational Theater Association
(PETA). The School of People’s Theater offers different theatre and acting programs like faculty and curriculum
development, the annual PETA summer workshop, outreach workshops, and the partnership program.

STYLE OF ARCHITECTURE
Modern Architecture is being portrayed to this architectural design. Based on (Philippine Educational Theater
Association. milestone –. n.d.), PETA has its own approached as they show how their contribution in the Philippines
Theater Art in the industry with aesthetics, grace and by their popular education. They are to inspired by their dedication
to the cultural heritage and simplicity.

INTRODUCTION
The Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts, presently known as the Division of Theatre,
was officially established, and acknowledged in 1974 after formerly falling under the umbrella of the discipline of speech
and theater. According to (Broadway World, n.d.), The department wants to be the university's leading hub for
discussion and practice of theater and performance. To do this, the division gives students the skills and information
necessary to understand how difficult it is to reframe theater and performance as revolutionary ideas.

STYLE ARCHITECTURE
According to (Wikipedia contributors, 2022), which is the architectural style that represents the University of
the Philippines Theater and Performance Division is Neoclassical which is by an Filipino Architect, Tomas Mapua.
