Task 1
REVIEWING CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
How do you decide which of the several content management system (CMS) solutions
available to small and medium-sized businesses is best? We have redesigned websites for over
450 organizations over the past decade and have conducted feasibility studies on content
management systems for each of them. This article's goal is to help readers better understand
the variety of content management systems available, how to go about selecting one, how much
it will cost, and what they'll need to keep it running smoothly. We realize you have many
choices, and we hope that this impartial evaluation will assist you in making the best decision
possible when selecting software for your company.
The creator of content-editors may let you create content without the
need for coding knowledge, which should be one of the major aspects of
any current CMS platform. So, they are great for anyone in your
company who regularly updates and keeps information up to date. Most
CMS platforms pay attention to their content editors, and it’s still a
fantastic technique to test them while starting your investigation. (cms-

Modularity and mobile compatibility in design.
The level of control you require in your CMS platforms determines the
level of design flexibility you require. If you want to employ an existing
template or theme for your pages, then you will want to peek at the
platforms that give a starting point for you. If you wish to add your own
branding and the design adjustments that will enrich your content, then
you want to look at the flexibility in terms of: Template revision

discretion in design
Moreover, it’s quite crucial to give a decent experience across all
devices. Mobile-responsive content is important now, so in addition to
the design flexibility, it's important to think about how you can improve
the user experience if you need to. (cms-most-important-features,

Administrating users
The users of your content management system are likely to be many.
From the author to the marketer to the SEO professional to the IT
support, you want to make sure that everyone is assigned the correct
position on the platform. Managing customers should be easy and
assigning roles and permissions should be simple for everyone in your
business. The easier it is for someone to assign a new position or use the
platform, the better the chances are to boost collaboration by using the
platform more regularly.
I. JOOMLA
This all-in-one CMS makes it simple to create portal sites and publish any kind of material
online. It is often called "multilingual" because it makes CMSs stable and gives them support.
Key Advantages of Joomla CMS
Enjoying independence
In order to avoid licensing costs, Joomla! is an open-source platform. Also, there are a plethora
of free Joomla templates to choose from. (web-design/what-are-the-advantages-and-
disadvantages-of-joomla/, 2021)
It allows for E- Commerce
If you're using Joomla you don't have to choose between managing content and running an
online store—you can do both at the same time. Several excellent e-commerce add-ons, like
Virtue Mart, Outshopping, and K2Store, are compatible with the program and may be used to
create online shops.
Ease of Set Up
Joomla may be set up in a matter of minutes. The Joomla! Website is very simple to download
and set up.
Efficiency in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
It's now much easier to find useful third-party plugins, and less time is spent trying to improve
Page 5of20
your site's Google ranking. (web-design/what-are-the-advantages-and-disadvantages-of-
joomla/, 2021)
Weak chemistry
There are incompatibilities with Joomla when multiple modules, extensions, and plugins are
installed at once. While it's great that Joomla is continuously being improved, it might be a
problem if the updates cause several third-party upgrades or extensions to malfunction since
they were not updated simultaneously. This is a potential issue, especially for resource-intensive
applications like membership or discussion boards, where there is often a great deal of data to
process.
Media
Joomla's media administration has room for improvement. Because of its restricted
functionality, the Joomla Media Manager cannot be used to reposition, resize, crop, or
otherwise modify photos. It's amazing that such a basic feature is missing from such a massive
content management system as Joomla, given how simple and compact it is.
This freedom is limited.
Joomla is not truly free, unlike WordPress, because its hosting services cost money. In other
words, you'll have to foot the bill for the pricey server space to host your website. The
requirement to pay for the server monthly should not prevent you from utilizing Joomla, but it is
something to think about. But this program has extra features that you can buy for an extra fee,
which will raise the total price. (cocoon, 2021)
II. WORDPRESS
This content management system (CMS) is also common on WordPress hosting. Users can post any kind
of content, and it has a plugin design to add more features and functionality.
Plugin
A user will need to think about several plugins and updates if they want to introduce or
add more advanced features to their website.
Optimizing for Search Engines
A common criticism about WordPress is that it has a poor search engine optimization
(SEO) rating.
Modify Issue
Another troubling thing is the regular plugin upgrades that should be addressed to
ensure best performance.
Security Flaws on Websites
It's feasible that your WordPress website could be hacked or spammed, unlike most of
the content maintained on the World Wide Web. It won't be as secure as you'd hope,
even if you use the most robust plugins available. (advantages-and-
disadvantages-of-wordpress-development, 2020)
III SHAREPOINT
Because of its scalability, ease of use, and seamless integration with Microsoft Office for
document management (CMS), SharePoint is one of the greatest content management systems
available today.
SharePoint's many benefits over competing content management systems led me to suggest it for
this work. The benefits and drawbacks are laid down below.
customizable
SharePoint's free, customizable themes may be used to spruce up any CMS site, from
blogs to online stores to message boards. (Ungoti, 2021)
Collaboration on shared documents and revisions
Indeed, this is a fantastic function of SharePoint. Users can easily collaborate on the same
documents and files.
With this feature, your current apps can work together seamlessly.
SharePoint lets you include the actual source code of your existing sites, which is useful
if you run multiple websites on different content management systems.
Safety has been beefed up.
SharePoint has a very high level of security. This makes it safer than most content
management systems, even though it still depends on the internet, which is inherently
unsafe. (Ungoti, 2021)
Page 7of20
Advice on layout and ease of use
One of SharePoint's best features is how intuitive it is to use; even a first timer will be inspired
to become a regular by the intuitive drag-and-drop interface. (Ungoti, 2021)
Disadvantages of SharePoint CMS.
The situation is very intricate
SharePoint is a free and reliable tool, but it can be scary to use, especially for people
who have never used it before.
designed without the customer in mind.
In other words, regular users of the SharePoint content management system won't be
able to see its contents unless an administrator gives them access.
There is a need for additional assistance due to low participation from staff members.

Task 2
Evaluating Product and Process
The purpose of this assignment was to utilize a content management system to
develop a website for a music venue that would provide external information
and hold music festivals. Watershedfestival.com was my first pick because of its
polished content administration.
Here I will explain the steps I took to create a website that is functionally
identical to the one used for the Watershed music festival. During development,
I settled on SharePoint Online as the CMS for the website. Since the goal of the
task was to share information with the public, the Watershed Festival's website
was copied and pasted into a SharePoint communication site.

Task 3
From a legal standpoint, users should be made aware of the potential problems and dangers
associated with using enterprise 2.0 tools.
Here are the rules that come straight from the General Data Protection Regulation, which is the
EU's most recent law on data security and privacy. Penalties for not following these standards
and security are listed below.
Security: End-to-end encryption is a must for all employees to use so that sensitive
information can't be seen by people who shouldn't be able to see it.
Data Limitation: Data subjects have a right to know that any information collected
about them is up-to-date and correct.
Data Accuracy: Data processing must be legal, fair, and transparent to the individual
whose information is being processed.
Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency: The data you collect, and store should only be
used for legitimate purposes that you make clear to the data subject before you collect
any of their information.
Purpose Limitation The data you collect, and store should only be used for legitimate
purposes that you make clear to the data subject before you collect any of their
information.
Storage limitation: Information that can be used to find out who you are can only be
kept if it serves a legitimate business need.
Accountability: It is the data controller's responsibility to ensure compliance with the
GDPR.
The CMS will fail or be taken offline without backup, causing problems ranging from
inconvenient to insurmountable if we aren't prepared. The organization's records on
reinforcements can be double-checked, and the schedule for reinforcements can be changed to
help us avoid problems or, at the very least, make them less bad.
Page 11of20
Evaluation of Compatibility
It's always possible that a change will break some component of your site. Even seemingly
innocuous adjustments, such as installing new software, switching to a different file type, or
adding an otherwise unused substance, can result in novel insights and unexpected outcomes.
Task 4
SEO Strategies
The optimal quantity of SEO tactics to employ is difficult to pin down. In fact, there is no one
marketing strategy that will work for every company across all sectors. However, if you already
have a high page rank for certain of your target keywords and want to improve that page rank,
you may need fewer techniques to achieve your campaign's goals.
Whether or not your company needs many SEO tactics is entirely dependent on the nature and
scope of your organization, the present status of your campaign, and your available resources.
Development of Content
In today's business world, content marketing ranks high among all promotional efforts.
Why? because having useful content is crucial for search engine optimization. Your
website's "content" includes whatever you post to it, whether it be words, pictures,
videos, or interactive elements.
If you write a blog article, for example, you've created content. The same goes for media
of all sorts. It's true that some information is created with a particular outcome in mind.
We will examine three of the most common content types and discuss how your firm
can use them to boost your SEO.
Your content's search engine rankings for company-related keywords will suffer without
it. as luck would have it, though, a lot of what you need to know to optimize your
keywords is just common sense. If you're writing with the reader in mind, you'll utilize
keywords that accurately define the page's subject matter but it's critical that you work
the keywords into your writing organically. Intentionally stuffing a page with keywords,
even if it doesn't make sense to do so, will have the opposite effect of what you want in
terms of search engine optimization. This technique for creating a negative user
experience is known as "keyword stuffing," and it is severely punished by Google. You
don't want to get so preoccupied with something else that you forget your keyword
altogether. As with going off on a tangent, this might lead to a bad experience for the
user.
Page 12of20
Multimedia
It's no secret that multimedia content is a crucial aspect of search engine optimization.
It makes pages easier to read, keeps people on your site longer than plain text, and gets
them more involved. However, multimedia does come with a caveat: Google's algorithm
is blind to visual content. To remedy this, make sure that all of your material has
alternative text descriptions. Google uses them to better understand what a page is about
by giving short text descriptions of an image, video, or audio clip. With the right alt text,
you can make your multimedia content better for both people and search engines. When
broken down, most forms of multimedia can be grouped into just a few broad categories.
To that end, we'll be discussing each of those classes individually.
Task 5
CONCLUSION
I was able to create an intranet for Musical venue by duplicating the external website using the
drag-and-drop functionality of SharePoint Online. SharePoint Online made it simple to access
and edit documents that had been shared with me. When compared to other content management
systems, SharePoint Online is incredibly intuitive and straightforward to use. As a content
management system, it allows users to store and share any form of file, making it ideal for
teamwork. In addition, SharePoint Online integrates seamlessly with every Microsoft product out
there.
RECOMMENDATIONS
If you want to avoid pointless meetings, SharePoint is the best document management system
available. To cut down on mundane routines, I suggest SharePoint Automation be used
throughout the company. I was able to create an intranet for Care International by duplicating the
external website using the drag-and-drop functionality of SharePoint Online. SharePoint Online
made it simple to access and edit documents that had been shared with me. When compared to
other content management systems, SharePoint Online is incredibly intuitive and straightforward
to use. As a content management system, it allows users to store and share any form of file,
making it ideal for teamwork. In addition, SharePoint Online integrates seamlessly with every
Microsoft product out there.
PERSONAL REFLECTION
I can say that this module helped me become familiar with the many CMSs out there, as well as
the benefits and drawbacks of each. Enterprise 2.0, as I've learned, is the adoption and
implementation of Web 2.0 applications and technologies within an enterprise's operational
framework to facilitate the sharing and organization of data amongst its personnel, vendors,
partners, and clients. I now know more about Enterprise 2.0 in SharePoint, such as why the
platform was chosen and what it can do in areas like document management, collaboration,
increased security, ease of use, and flexibility.
