Purpose:
To request Solar Service Representatives and customers to submit failure reports and to return failed
servoactuators for evaluation to Solar Turbines International, 2200 Pacific Highway, San Diego,
CA. 92101, Attention: Product Support Engineering, Mail Zone J7.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Solar is conducting an evaluation program of servoactuator reliability for Part Numbers 919360C1
and 914636C1. Should you experience a failure of these components, please inform Solar San
Diego direct or your local field office.

The failure reports will aid in determining the incidence and conditions of failure. Evaluation of
the failed components will determine the cause and extent of failure. The failure reports and failed
component evaluations will aid in improving reliability and reduce the rejection of servoactuators
without cause.

ACTION REQUIRED:
1. Do not tamper with the failed unit prior to return.
