EXECUTIVE ORDER: 003 Series JULY-2022

AN EXECUTIVE ORDER ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY PEACE AND ORDER

COUNCIL (BPOC) OF BARANGAY PINDANGAN EAST, ALCALA, PANGASINAN.

WHEREAS, Section 16 of Republic Act No. 7160 or the Local

Government Code of 1991 states that Local Government Units shall, within their territorial
jurisdictions, promote health and safety, improve public morals, maintain peace and order,
and preserve the comfort and convenience of their inhabitants.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Executive Order No. 366 dated September 5,

1996 every Barangay is required to organize a Peace and Order Council (BPOC) to serve as
the implementing arm of the City/Municipal Peace and Order Council at the barangay level.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Punong Barangay HONNIBAL D. GABRIEL,

of Barangay Pindangan East, Alcala, Pangasinan, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law
do hereby order the following:

 FUNCTION

1. Formulate a Barangay POPS Plan which shall be incorporated in the Barangay Development
Plan;
2. Recommend measures to improve or enhance peace and order and public safety in the
community;
3. Monitor and coordinate the implementation of peace and order programs and projects at the
barangay level;
4. Serve as an information-gathering mechanism;
5. Monitor and report to appropriate authorities suspicious illegal activities and personalities
involved within their jurisdiction, including insurgent activities;
6. Maintain continuing dialogue, close coordination and rapport with the higher-level POC and
law enforcement units;
