Composition on Football Is My Favorite Game

Similar to:

The Game I Like Best

Introduction: there goes a wise saying, ‘health is wealth.’ Games and sports are the best
sources of becoming healthy-both physically and mentally.

My favorite game: there are various forms of game and sports in our country. They are ha-du-
du, football, cricket, hockey, bat-Milton, tennis, volleyball etc. My favorite game is football. It is
played all over the world. It came from England. It is the most popular game in our country. It is
now an international game. No game is so exciting to me as football.

Formation of the theme: football is played between two teams. Each team consists of eleven
players each two teams. Each team has a goal-keeper, two backs, their half-backs and five
forwards. Each team tries to score more goals. The team witch scores more goals win the
game.

How played: the games are conducted by a referee. He is helped by two linesmen. The
goalkeeper can alone touch the ball with hands. The other players cannot touch the ball with
hands. The ball is placed at the center of the field before starting the game. The players of each
team stand face to face in their respective sides. The referee blows his whistle and the game
beggings. Then there goes on attacks and counter-attacks between the teams and continues till
at the last moment of the game. Every player tries to pass the ball through the strikers so that a
goal can be scored. The strikers also seek the chance to hit the ball the opponent’s goalposts.
The game is divided into two equal halves with an interval of ten minutes in between them. The
players change their sides at the end of the first half.
Popular players of football: football is undoubtedly a popular game. Play of Brazil and Mara-
Dona of Argentina top the list among the most outstanding players in the world. They are known
as the football legendary in the history of the football world. Besides then, there are a good
number of star players in Italy, England, Brazil, Argentina, and Germany. The FIFA world cup is
the best of all football entertainments which is held in different countries every four years.

Merits/usefulness: football playing is very good for health. It is a good form of physical

exercise. It teaches obedience to rules and leadership. Ti develops team spirit, fellow feelings,
and co-operation among the players. It grows the spirit of leadership too.

Reason for liking: a man’s liking or disliking for a person or a thing varies from person to
person according to his taste aptitude and temperament. It feels a great attraction for the game
of football. Football is the most popular game in our country. People from almost all walks of life
like enjoying this game. A contesting football match is a much looked for the occasion for them.
It is full of thrills and excitements. It thrills not only the players but also the spectators. It thrills
not only the players but also the spectators. This is why, of the games, I like football most.

Demerits: there is nothing on earth which is an unmixed blessing. The football game is not also
free from dark sides. Too much involvement in the games often makes students averse towards
their studies. Sometimes wild excitement among the supporters spoils the joy and thrill of the
game. They are seen to get involved in quarrels and even in clashes and start chasing and
counter-chasing. Despite that football is by far the most popular and exciting game in the world.

Conclusion: football is indeed an interesting and exciting game. We should do our best to

make football more popular and keep its heritage ever burning. To quote the words of the world
famous cricketer, Md. Imran Khan,

“Games and sports must be evaluated,

Otherwise our civilization could not get enlistment.”

Composition on Tree Plantation in Bangladesh

Question: Write a short composition about “Tree Plantation in Bangladesh” or “Afforestation
in Bangladesh.”

Answer: Trees are our best friends. Trees give us food and shelter. Forests play a vital role in
our economic development. Forests exert much influence upon the climatic condition of a
country. So our forests and trees are deeply interlinked with the overall development of our
country. They save the topsoil from erosion. They also make our land fertile. They are, in fact,
part and parcel of our life.

Bangladesh is a lower riparian country. Lands in the upper valley of a river are more suitable for
the growth and development of forests. As a result, we are not blessed with rich forest
resources. Still, we have got some notable forest areas like Bhawal, Madhupur, Chittagong Hill
Tracts and the famous Sundarbans. These forest areas are abundant with Sundari, Garan,
Ghewa, Kaora, etc.

Trees give us various kinds of delicious and sweet fruits and these fruits also, to some extent,
satisfy our requirement for food. Fruits also provide us with vitamins. Fruit trees
like mango, jack-fruit, coconut, blackberry, guava etc supply us with delicious and juicy fruits.
Trees are the factories of oxygen. Trees supply oxygen for our survival. They inhale carbon
dioxide and exhale oxygen which helps human beings and other animals to survive in this world.

There is an ample scope for afforestation and plantation in our country. Coastal areas and low–
lying areas can be brought under the scheme of afforestation with a special type of trees suited
tot he soil. Shady trees, wood-trees and fruit trees should be planted by the side of roads,
railways and highways. Trees may be planted around the banks of ponds, canals, lakes and big
‘dighis’.

The months of June and July are the proper time for planting trees. “Tree-plantation week”
should be observed more effectively so that awareness about trees and about the utility of tree
plantation can be raised. Illiterate people of the villages do not know the utility and importance of
trees and forests. Motivation, in this case, maybe a fruitful attempt. A count should have, at
least, 25% forest area of the total land. But we have only 9% forest area of total land. If we can
not increase our forest area, we shall not be able to maintain our ecological balance. The
amount of carbon-dioxide will increase. So we should make all-out efforts for afforestation to
prevent dissertation and ensure a healthy environment

Short Composition on Tree Plantation

Introduction: Tree plantation means planting more and more trees. We know that the tree is
our best friend on the earth. It is essential for the environmental balance. It is essential to our
existence. We cannot live without it.

Deforestation and its result: We cut down trees for many reasons. We cut down trees to get
timber and firewood. We also use trees as our housing material. For this, we cut trees. Cutting
of too many trees leads the world to the desert. It is responsible for the greenhouse effect. Birds
and animals are losing their habits. Many of them have already been extinct. For too much heat,
the polar ice caps will melt. Most of the parts of the world will be flooded. There will be no
ecological balance. Thus, the world will be unfit for living.

Usefulness of trees: the tree is the most useful gift of nature. We cannot live without a tree.
The tree provides us fresh oxygen, shade and shelter. The tree helps to keep the environment
balanced. It prevents air pollution by taking carbon dioxide. It protects us from natural disasters.

Plantation: every person should plant trees. In empty space, trees should be planted. More and
more trees should be planted on both sides of roads and embankments. Tree plantation
campaign should be continued everywhere. Public awareness is essential to make the
campaign successful.

plant trees and stop cutting down trees. We should plant more and more trees for our own
existence. Both the governments and the countryman should come forward. The more we plant
trees, the more we do good for us.

Essay on Science and Its Effects

One of the most striking features of the present century is the progress of science and its effects
on almost every aspect of social life. Building on the foundation laid by the predecessors the
scientists of today are carrying their investigation into ever-widening fields of knowledge.
Science has brought many changes in the world today. It is used in all the corners of the world
for the benefit of man.

The motor-car or the electric lamp that we use today was not known to people who lived
generations ago. Owing to the use of science the people of today are able to do many things
with ease and comfort. Travel has become very easy. So men’s activity has increased greatly.
Science has also been used to treat the sick. As a result, people can now live longer life than
their ancestors could. Even the most serious diseases do not frighten people so much as they
did before.

Further, Science has made it possible for people to sit at home and see the world around. The
television, the newspaper and color books help millions of people to learn at home. The radio
too has done much to teach and inform people in all parts of the world.

Modem civilization depends largely on scientists and inventors. We depend on the doctor who
seeks the cause and cure of disease, the chemist who analyses our food and purifies our water,
the entomologist who wages war on the insect pests, the engineer who conquers time and
space, and a host of other specialists who aid in the development of agriculture and industry.
The advance of science and technology has brought the different parts of the world into closer
touch with one another than ever before. We are able to reach distant lands within a very short
time. We are also able to communicate with people far away by means of the telephone and the
wireless. The invention of the printing machine has made it possible for us to learn from books
and newspapers about people in other lands. Indeed, man’s curiosity and resourcefulness have
been responsible for the steady stream of inventions that have created our civilization.

At the same time, however, there have been harmful effects. Our machine civilization is
responsible for numerous accidents and industrial rivalries among nations. Every day hundreds
of people are dying from serious wounds and injuries. Further, the rapid tempo of modern life
causes a wide-spread nervous disorder. Moreover, science, which has helped man to secure
control over nature, has also made it possible for him to develop more deadly weapons of war.
More and more countries are competing with one another in the production of war material. But
in these instances, the fault lies not with science, but rather with man’s intention to misuse the
discoveries of science.

The Career I Want to Select

Introduction: aim in life means to choose a profession for future life. Man is the best creation of
God. He connotes run his life towards the path of prosperity and happiness without having a
definite aim in life.
The necessity of an aim: our life is like a journey and a journey must have a destination. An
aim in life is the best guide to reach the desired destination. We can assert that just as a
compass guides a sailor on the sea to make his ship reach the desired destination of his journey
properly, so also an aim is life guides a man to make his life reach the desired goal of his zigzag
journey of life. A man cannot try his luck on many a profession. A proverb also says,

“A rolling stone gathers on moss”.

A life without an aim is like a ship without a rudder. Again, The Allah (God) has sent a man on
earth with a great mission of living in deeds and not in a year. This can be possible only through
acting upon the following vision of life. This is whey, a definite aim in life a must to win in the
battle of life and fulfill its mission.

“I slept and found that life is beauty,I woke and found that is duty”.

Different aims: different persons have a different choice, tastes, and temperament and as
such, they have different aims in life, somebody desires power, somebody hankers after wealth
and races and somebody craves for high honor and high dignity in the society. Some want to
become a social activist and work amount the distressed humanity and leave behind them
footprints of the sands of time. Again, someone wants to be an engineer of neither a doctor nor
a teacher and so on. This choice of the profession entirely depends on one’s taste, aptitude and
intensity of desire.

My choice: I am a student now. I have like others a definite aim in my life. It is teaching. It is a
profession after my heart. I like to lead an ideal life of “plain living and high thinking.” I know that
a teacher in our country is not economically wee-off. They are generally ill-paid, ill-fed, ill-clad
and ill-housed. Yet to be a teacher is to be a noble ambition. I like to imagine myself watching
the slowly expanding minds of the young people like the petals of a flower. To choose my
profession, I have been greatly inspired and guided by the following Chinese proverb.

“if you plan for a year, sow an seed.

If you plan for a decade, plant a plant

If you plan for a century, teach the people.”

Reason for choice: teaching is the noblest of all professions. ‘Teachers are more than any
Other classes the guardian of civilization.’ They keep the torch of civilization ever- running. They
are the potential builders of the nation. Alexander, the great, uttered. “To my father, I own my
life; to Aristotle, the knowledge to live worthily.” Aristotle rightly claimed. “Those who educate
children are more to be honored than even their parents.” I think a teacher is in a better position
in the society to serve the nation well and command honors and respect from the people of all
walks of life. A teacher and respect from the people of all walks of life. A teacher never dies out
from the memory of the people. He remains ever fresh in the innermost hearts of the living like
the glittering stars studded in the sky. When he dies, he dies a noble death and is remember
until the end of the world. My motto in lifeworld is. “To serve man is to serve God.” This is why; I
think the grounds of my choice to become a teacher leave no room for any controversies.

How to fulfill: life is not a bed of roses. Is rather like a battle to be fought valiantly. Mine is a
student life. I know that student life is the life of preparation-preparation for the struggle of life. I
know, I have to face the stern reality of life with undaunted spirit and boldness. I have to work
vigorously with my studies and make my way through the zigzag path of my life. I must badly
need strenuous Endeavour with firm determination backed by hard lobar into consideration and
decided the future has many a father, failure has none. This why I am determined to try again
and again and yet again and over again to come out successful. Let me quote the poet and
work accordingly.
“Though you stumble off boys, never be downcast.

Try and try again, you will succeed at last.”

I have decided to take up honors course English after passing the H.S.C examination. I hope to
pass both the honor and master courses with distinctions. Then I like to go into my profession.
My goal is to dedicate myself to the national campaign of making the country free from the curse
of illiteracy and thereby building up a happier. Healthier and wealthier nation I do believe, I shall
be able to reach my goal with the grace of Almighty Allah.

Conclusion: in fact. The successes in life largely depend on the right choice of profession. I
have a determination to act upon the maxim:

“Honor and shame from no condition resell,

Act well your part and there all the honors lie.”
