Table of Contents
To parents: The Fillip’s Phonics series emphasizes new key phonics skills that children can
easily learn and to become independent readers. Besides using the lessons that are laid
put here; having the right teacher is also essential. Lessons involve children in the process
of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Children will learn to recognize frequently
occurring initial and final consonant sounds. Creative activities guide children in the
blending of sounds and to recognize similar patterns with repetition words. Additional
literature and helpful hints further enhance and cultivate children’s appreciation of
reading.
