1. Assume that you are the Secretary of Education, Government of India and write a set of
ten recommendations to the students to balance the academics and health during the Covid-
19 pandemic situation. (CO4)

 During difficult times like these, its very crucial to have a healthy work-life balance,
and its our responsibility to take good care of ourselves and our family. Staying at
home makes things easier and also it makes its difficult at the same time.

 Prepare daily to-do lists to address your priorities and set time limits for your work
and try to stay focused.

 Take breaks at regular intervals to reduce burnout and by means distract yourselves
from all electronic gadgets and take a 15 min long walk. Taking power-naps makes
you feel active.

 Have a balanced diet rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals and drink atleast 2 litres
of water per day to stay hydrated. Drinking water keeps you active and fresh during
hectic work time.

 Stay socially connected with your friends and family. Spend quality time with your
loved ones.

 Choose a work-space away from the household as much as possible to stay away
from distractions to meet your daily goals to the fullest.

 Daily practise of yoga and pranayamam relives you from stress and keeps you stay
focused.

 Make Novels and books as your friends during this time and also explore and widen
your hobbies.

 Listen to good music during leisure time to relax.

 Set your boundaries and know to respect your limits. Take care of the little things in
life that you have control on rather than thinking about the future to which we hold no
control.
2. Imagine you are the Health Secretary of the World Health Organization (WHO) and write a
set of ten instructions to the public for increasing the immunity power and stay healthy during
the pandemic period.

 Take proper care for your body, intake of fruits, green vegetables and nuts increases
immunity.

 Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol and other addictive substances.

 Take food rich in vitamin-C such as oranges, kiwi and broccoli .Berries, carrot and
spinach are rich in anti-oxidants and fibre-rich food such as bananas are a key to
improve and energise our body system.

 A good night’s sleep of 7-8 hours is necessary for human body to function and helps
to refresh and recharge ourselves.

 Meditation helps to reduce stress and anxiety during the pandemic period.

 Having a right attitude sets everything right. So have a POSITIVE mindset and
approach things in a positive manner.

 Maintain good hygiene habits to boost immunity. Wah your hands properly with a
soap before and after eating, after taking care of someone who is ill and after
errands.

 Drink atleast 2-3 litres water or 8-10 glasses of water per day to stary hydrated.
Drinking water improves the function of immune system and makes you feel active
and fresh.

 Stay connected with your friends and family via video calls, emails etc. This
decreases loneliness and in a way boosts your immunity.

 Intake of natural supplements such as ginger, amla, garlic, tulsi leaves are proved to
elevate your immunity.
