How to Stay Healthy

In the modern age, people want to rush into success, so we do

everything quicker and work harder. But there is something essential
that we forget – our health. Health is the most important aspect of our
lives. There is nothing more crucial than health for any human beings.
When we are healthy, we are able to enjoy our lives well. We can
laugh, smile, enjoy food, play sports, and travel around the world. On
the other hand, when our health is not as its best, we are unable to do
everything we want. And if any of the organs suffer problems, it affects
others, too and arises complications because the function of any
singular bodies coordinates the function of all together.

So, we should both improve physical fitness and maintain mental

fitness. I’m going to tell you some ways which can help us to stay fit
and healthy for long time.

1. Eat breakfast. If you skip meals, you will feel like you’re having a
hard time paying attention, understanding information, organizing your
thoughts, or remembering details. Skipping breakfast also causes fatigue
because breakfast is your body’s main source of energy.

2. Drink 2-3 liters of water per day. Drinking enough water can help
boost your concentration and immune system, clean toxins inside your
body, and prevent cramps.

3. Eat fruits and vegetables. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, and
fibers that your body needs. They help you feel energized, and
improve your digestive system.

4. Play a sport or head to the gym. Exercising daily strengthens your

heart, lower the cholesterol, lower your risk of developing diabetes,
metabolic syndrome and some types of cancers, as well as helps your
muscles, joints and tendons remain in good shape. You will be stronger
and more flexible.

5. Get enough sleep. Teens need 8-10 hours of sleep each night.
Adults need 7-9 hours. Sleep is important for various aspects of brain
function including cognition, concentration, productivity and
performance.

6. Balanced Life. Try to have a balance between your personal and

professional life and treat them as two different worlds. If your
personal issues affect your professional life or vice-versa, it’s bound to
increase stress, anger and frustration.

7. Give yourself a break. If you have been working steadily for hours,
give your eyes and mind a chance for rest by taking a break. You can
come back feeling more refreshed and readier.

8. Keep calm and relax. If you feel too stressed, don’t hesitate to
stop for a while to do what you like. For example, If I’m tired, I always
listen to my favorite music, watch movies, and read cartoons until I
feel better.

9. Get to the doctor. If you have symptoms that aren’t showing any
signs of clearing up within a few days, you should go to see a doctor.
Simple illness can mutate into much more fatal ones. For instance, a
man though he had a stomachache, but actually it’s an appendicitis.

In conclusion, Ladies and Gentlemen, we often hear “healthy

mind, healthy body” but don’t do much to incorporate it in our
lifestyle. Our fast lives have not left us with many choices, except to
multitask. We all are trying to do so many things in a limited time
period and our lives have become hectic which leads to irregularity in
following a healthy routine with lots of healthy habits.

We must not forget that “The greatest wealth is health.” So, eat on
time; get enough sleep; do some exercise; take some breaks; and don’t
forget to balance your life.
